VEGAS VIC: NFL pix…early games… NFL pix…early games…
September 20th, 2009
VEGAS VIC
After a nice little 2-0 performance in this space on yesterday’s college football pix, we’re ready to jump on the NFL…
Start with the Lions +10 points over the Vikings…
Detroit WILL win a game. Eventually. Maybe not this decade, but these kids do keep trying. They put up 27 points against New Orleans, and certainly played the Vikings tough last season. At home, the Lions fell short by four points, 20-16, but covered a +10.5 point spread (look familiar), while at Minny, Detroit lost 12-10, but had no trouble covering a +13 point spot. Actually, the Lions have covered 11 of the last 13 (85%) as a double digit dog.
Continue with the Redskins -9 1/2 points over the Rams…
Scott Linehan or Steve Spagnuolo. Doesn’t really matter because the tradition continues. The tradition of INEPT. St. Louis has lost 11 in a row and an ASTOUNDING 28 of the last 33. You’re not gonna believe this, but it gets even better, if you are on Washington with me. In the month of September, over the last three seasons, the Rams are 0-9 against the spread and have been outscored by an average of 30 to 9. |
