Default Horse guys, anyone ever use Ragozin products?

You use the Sheets, or the Seminars?

Thx.

30 years ago they were thhe shit. guys used to hang outside his place waiting for the day after tomorrows sheets...like junkies waiting for the dealer

back then the sheets were not available to the public. you had to have an in, and you paid ragozin a percentage of your handle as a fee based on the honor system

his clients back then, including some friends of mine were nyra's biggest customers.

i cant speak to the quality of the info today, but back then once you had a grasp on reading them, they were an incredible source of info.

keep in mind chucky there is a significant learning curve. you arent going to buy em one day like the form, and understand the data.

Thx, TS. That's what I hear. Good, but not that ez to understand.

I've heard a few stories. Pretty expensive. People waiting for delivery to their door daily. Interesting, if nothing else.

they now ship em out to you via fedex. i was up at their place a coupld of years ago, and it seemed to be pretty well run. 2-3 high volume copiers, a few machines to cut the pages in half and a stack of fedex packaging. they also sell them at certain tracks.

i think they now sell for $25 a day per track

back in the day, you would leave aqu or bel, head into the city and pick them up. they were always avail 2 days head of time (fri on wed, sun on fri). also, they were only avail for nyra tracks

these guys that paid him on the honor system were paying him thousands a day for the info. they were all skilled math guys.

obviously, the markets were much less efficient mid to late 70's

dog, did u play the Sheets in the past? Man, would have been sweet to get in on the ground floor. I swear that technology is so good nowadays, makes it hard to find an edge.

Ragozin has written a book called The Odds Must Be Crazy that does a pretty good job of teaching sheet interpretation 101 and is a good read besides.

once a methodology is used by more than the
tiniest % of players, its value in a parimutuel
wagering system loses much if not all of its edge.
