It will be a fun game for a little while since Armanti Edwards is a fantastic athlete, but App. St. has just lost way too much talent to compete with LSU in Baton Rouge.

App. St. loses their star RB of the last 3 years, Kevin Richardson. That's over 4500 yrds in the last 3 years. Their 3 top receivers from last year are gone too, including their super deep threat, Dexter Jackson. Jackson averaged a whopping 22.9 yards per catch last year. To make matters worse, they have lost 3 All-American offensive lineman and their ENTIRE STARTING SECONDARY from last years squad. Now that's not to say the replacements will all be bums, but asking all of these newcomers to step in and debut with brilliance at LSU is a bit much to hope for.

This defense was a little leaky last year, and they will probably resemble a sieve in this game. I doubt they even qualify for they're own divisions semi-finals in the winter.

Hate to predict a walk in the park for a big chalk, because that's as vanilla as it gets. But I think Appalachian St. is going to get thrashed in this game.
