Sorry if this was posted already or you already know about it.
In college football this year they have changed the play clock. Instead of starting the clock at 25 seconds when the official spots the ball, there will be a 40 second clock as started as soon as the play ends, like the NFL does it. The only time the 25 second clock will be used is on change of possession or other stoppages and timeouts, when the official spots the ball it starts. This change is expected to add 4 or 5 plays per game and keep the every game's pace consistent no matter how fast or slow the officials are at spotting the ball.
What may offset this a little though is that when guys run out of bounds the game clock will now be started once the ball is spotted. Except inside 2 minutes of the half and game. Before when the guys ran out of bounds the game clock stopped until another play was run.
Not sure if this will change much but just a heads up

You may want to wait and see how this will affect the games before you start betting totals this year.
