Default What do you think the NE Patriots 2008 Regular Season Record will be?

2008 Schedule
Date Opponent Time/Result
Sep 7 Kansas City 1:00pm
Sep 14 @N.Y. Jets 4:15pm
Sep 21 Miami 1:00pm
Week 4 BYE
Oct 5 @San Francisco 4:15pm
Oct 12 @San Diego 8:15pm
Oct 20 Denver 8:30pm
Oct 26 St. Louis 1:00pm
Nov 2 @Indianapolis 8:15pm
Nov 9 Buffalo 1:00pm
Nov 13 N.Y. Jets 8:15pm
Nov 23 @Miami 1:00pm
Nov 30 Pittsburgh 4:15pm
Dec 7 @Seattle 8:15pm
Dec 14 @Oakland 4:15pm
Dec 21 Arizona 1:00pm
Dec 28 @Buffalo 1:00pm

15-1 or 14-2 in my opinion...

Possible hiccups in San Diego or Indy. Seattle may give them a run too.

Anybody see these guys going 16-0 again?

They are not quite the team they were last year. Their secondary is really hurting, their Key D guys like Harrison, and their LB's are a year closer to being done, and they showed some age in the 2nd half last year. Stallworth is a loss on offense, and their offensive line isn't that good and was exposed by the Giants. They still have the master and Brady. They'll still win the division easy, but I think they go 12-4 at best. They lose @ SD, @ Indy, @ Seattle and @ Buffalo when they rest some guys in the finale, and Buffalo gets a Wild Card.

agree...could even be worse than that. moss is the wild card. if he performs at last years level they should go 12-4...if he plays like he did the raiders i could honestly see 11-5 10-6.

their back 7 might be one of the slowest in the league.

saving grace is their pathetic schedule.

Painfully bad...

I think this offense is going to be just as hungry as they were last year and will put up similar stats due to being on the field a ton because of a shot out defense.

I don't think the defense is all that bad really....But, yeah, i think the offense will be just as potent, if not more so, than last season....

I'm just hoping for some more of the 'I FUCKING HATE NEW ENGLAND!!' threads once the scores start hitting the 50's...

I see them going 8-8 or 9-7 and missing the playoffs. Last 7 out of 8 superbowl losers failed to make playoffs following year. Miami, and NYJ only got better.

This secondary is going to miss Asante Samuel a lot.

Linebackers are pretty long in the tooth as well.

Well then, i suggest you put some cash on the season wins total UNDER for NE.....Think most places have them at O/U 13.5, so, your UNDER should be a no-brainer...

Yeah, they are a bit old and weathered, but, with the weak schedule they have this season, especially the first half of the year, i doubt they'll be tested much at all with the exception of SD and Indy, so, they should be able to hold up i think.

If not...Well, Brady, Moss and Welker will just have to get into the 60's and 70's for a few games...

Well well well. That 12.5 under, and not making the playoffs doesn't look so bad afterall. At least I don't have to hear about Brady anymore.

I think they still win 12, give or take 1...they play a weak schedule...their replacement QB will be as good as many of those teams starting QB...definitely make the playoffs...

10-6

The Indy, SD and yes the JETS game!!! will all be losses, plus there are several tough games (now for sure) like Pit, Sea and maybe the Bills as well.

WIth either Simms or Culpepper IMO they are good enough to make it to the playoffs as the 6th seed and then its all she wrote

The Indy and especially SD games will be brutal. SD for sure will try to run up the score
