Default Matchbook is stealing your money...did you know it?

Matchbook's software intentionally or unintentionally is stealing our money as players.

If the deck looks like this:

Mets -104 (550 offered) Mets -105 (12,000 offerred)

and you need a QUICK fill of mets for 2000, if you sent the bet in at Mets -105, (thinking you'll get 550 at -104 and 1450 at -105), you'll be sadly mistaken. You get the entire order filled at the worst price, and they pocket the difference.

Anyone else notice this. I find it is dishonorable. They need to fix this ASAP.

Iron.

Have you written them...seems a little harsh to call this stealing.

Not true. I had this exact situation a few days ago and got the best price for the amount that was there. I would think that in your case the first offer was taken while you were going through the transaction process.

ok. I'll try it again, until it happens the way you say it. I may be wrong, and if so I'll withdraw the title. Its happened everytime I've done it that way because of time contraints, I can say that.

Thanks.

What other 'reliable' poker sites are you guys playing at these days, that you'd recommend??

The wife has been nagging me for weeks now to find her another place to play, other than WSEX and PokerStars, but, i hardly ever see anyone mentioning playing poker online anymore, so, i have no friggin clue who to send her to.

i just need a place maybe a little 'bigger' than the WSEX poker room, and preferrably one that isn't too terribly hard to fund.

thanks in advance for any suggestion...

Then I would send in the amount for -104 only, and when it is matched then send in the amount for -105.

I use matchbook all the time and this happens maybe once out of 30 times and I'm sure its due to the lower offer being taken down or accepted right before I send mine in. I almost always use the "average odds" feature in my bet tracking because I almost always get the better price for as much as it is offered up to.

If you are doing it right before gametime then you have to realize that stuff is going quick at that point.

every time I have placed an order there it starts matching at the best price and moves on to worse prices until it is filled

maybe you hit a glitch in the software, but i definitely don;t think they are ripping anyone off...why would they? They make the same commission regardless. Zero incentive for shenanigans on their end

Not sure of your location, but Pinnacle has now opened their poker room. It was funny, because i downloaded their software just to check it out and 3 seconds after i was in the "poker lobby" a sign came up saying my IP address was in a illegal location ( USA ) and it all went "poof". I personally play mostly at Poker Stars, as i don't think you can find a better place for game variety and customer service, not to mention prompt payouts and software.

Please, no responses about online poker being rigged and etc,etc,..... I don't know Uncle's country, and just thought I'd mention that Pinnacle now had it's poker room up and running ( although I'm sure he was aware of that). I was just answering his question, not looking for another tiring pissing contest about the online poker world.

Never played there, don't know much about it but I believe BoDog poker is a bit bigger than wsex and smaller than stars. I know Jamie Gold wore their stuff at WSOP when he won.

Go to reports, current bets, matched and then click on detailed.
That will allow you to view how much you have at each price.

stealing may be too strong, but i think he is right about getting filled at matchbook at the higher number. i would use the term rounding error.
if i'm in error, please feel free to correct me.

Thanks Indio, but, we're in the states too, so, Pinny is a no-go..

I make a large number of bets on Matchbook and I've never noticed this once (and I check my bet details frequently), so yes that would be an error.

As someone pointed out, the previous offer was likely either withdrawn or filled in the few seconds you went through the submit process.
