Yeah, i heard the police scanner tape, they mentioned him 'eating pieces of the victim', while standing at the front of the bus.

You gotta keep in mind now....That guy was in there for hours, without so much as a packet of peanuts....Now, i'm not sayin i'd eat a guy, but, those munchies man...they can strike at the most embarassing damn times, you know?

While he was eating?

Well, i don't know how they do things in CR, but, shooting people while they are eating is just outright rude here in the US of A...

Someone just posted audio from a police scanner there.....It's on a vid file that i am posting a link to below, but, beware...It appears to include a photo of the vistims severed head.

''The Attacker Was Still On The Bus. Apparently He Ended Up With A Pair Of Scissors,
And Aside From Chopping The Victim Up, Also Ate Some Of The Flesh''
(audo/video file link)

According to news reports, the audio is definitely legit:

As disturbing as the news about a man beheading a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus was things became even more grisly when a police tape was leaked in which an officer described the attacker, Vince Weiguang Li, as hacking off pieces of the victim’s body and eating them.

The tape was never intended for the public to hear but was somehow leaked and posted on LiveLink.com. During the transmission the Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer on the scene could be heard saying Vince Weiguang Li was “defiling the body at the front of the bus as we speak.”

At another point the officer, who called Li “Badger,” is heard saying “Badger's at the back of the bus, hacking off pieces and eating it.”

The attack occurred along a barren stretch of the TransCanada Highway last Wednesday as the Greyhound bus was travelling from Edmonton, Alberta to Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Passengers told authorities they had been re-boarding the bus after a brief stop when they saw Vince Weiguang Li stabbing the 22-year-old Tim McLean repeatedly. He then decapitated McLean and displayed his head to other passengers, many of whom were already running from the bus.

Li is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday

The fact this shit even has to go to court drives me crazy. I don't want to pay a penny to have a trial to figure out if this guy is innocent or not, as how the fu$k could he be!

When we have obvious cases such as this, just take them out back and shoot the MF. I don't care what type of medication/drugs he was on. You do the crime, you pay the penalty.

It just ain't that simple...Who knows, maybe the victim was snoring really, really loud, or, was texting someone, and kept saying "lol" out loud.

Definitely...Especially when they use the lingo out loud.

"sorry everyone, but, it's my B-F-F!!''

I can see how someone could lose their head.

no pun intended.

WINNIPEG — In his last phone calls and text messages, slain bus passenger Tim McLean was eagerly looking forward to seeing his friends and family, talked about how much he was enjoying himself, and made no mention of the peculiar passenger now charged with his murder.

Alexandra Storey, Mr. McLean's ex-girlfriend, said he sent her dozens of texts as the Greyhound he was riding made its way east to Winnipeg from Edmonton Wednesday night. The 22-year-old Winnipegger was coming home after seven weeks working on a carnival tour of Western Canada.

He told her some of the other passengers were taking ecstasy, a party drug with stimulant properties, and that he was counting down the hours by sending a new text at every town he passed.

It was from Brandon, Man., some time before 8 p.m. that he sent the longest flurry of texts, she said. He planned to go see his father, collect his pet iguana from a friend and wanted to visit Ms. Storey later that night. After their relationship ended, he became like a brother to her, she said, and he was particularly devoted to her daughter, April. In his last message, Mr. McLean said his phone was dying and he was going to charge it when he got to Portage la Prairie.

Ten minutes later, his accused killer, 40-year-old Vincent Li, changed seats, making his way to the last row of the bus and sitting next to Mr. McLean. Witnesses said the younger man, barely 5 foot 5 and 125 pounds, had fallen asleep with his headphones on, his cheek resting against the window, while Zorro played on the bus's television screen.

Without warning, witnesses said, a man stood up and stabbed Mr. McLean several times in the throat and torso, sending passengers scrambling off the bus. Afterward, the killer severed his victim's head, hacked at his body with a large knife and a pair of scissors, and, according to reports from the scene, ate some of the body parts.

Derek Caron, Mr. McLean's closest friend, was waiting at the Winnipeg bus station that night, anticipating a 9:45 p.m. arrival. He hung around patiently as Greyhound officials told him the bus was delayed, but as the hours passed they never explained what had happened. He left only when they closed the terminal after 1 a.m.

Although police didn't release his name, the description of the victim passed on by witnesses – a small, aboriginal man of 18-20 years – seemed to fit Mr. McLean, who wasn't aboriginal but looked it, Mr. McLean's friends said. As the day wore on, and they received no word from him, a small group gathered outside the home of his father, also named Tim McLean. When the older man arrived home from work, he greeted them cheerfully, asking if they were waiting for his son.

They sat down with him at his computer as he watched the news for the first time. He put his hands over his mouth and said, “No, no, no. My God, no,” according to a woman who was there. He tried to contact the RCMP to confirm his worst fear. His son's friends said an uncle had spoken to the RCMP already, and was told his nephew wasn't a passenger on the bus. But later that night, Mr. McLean had to identify his son's body.

As they struggled with their grief Friday, friends described the young man as a warm, fun-loving free spirit who attracted people to him with his energy and joie de vivre. He had never been in a fight in his life, said his friend Will Caron, who had known him for 10 years.

“There is no way he could have provoked that guy. No way. He's just not like that,” said Colleen Yestrau, who had allowed Mr. McLean to stay with her for three months before he left on the carnival circuit. They also said Mr. McLean had asked his father, in a text message sent Wednesday evening, if it would be all right if a girl named Stacey stayed with them once he arrived in Winnipeg.

Mr. McLean dropped out of Oak Park High School before completing Grade 11 because he had other priorities, his friends said. He would spend the summer months touring Western Canada, starting with the Red River Exhibition in Winnipeg, and travelling to the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver. He ran booths and games at the fairs, which he referenced in his latest tattoo, a cursive script across his stomach saying “Wanna Play.” He sent a photo of it to Ms. Storey, which, in a ghostly twist, she received several hours after he was killed.

He was also proud of his other tattoos, including cartoon character Marvin the Martian, a spider and skull, and one that said “Joker Wild.”

He hadn't had a fixed address for several years, his friends said, but would often stay with one of them for three months at a stretch, and then move on. In the winters he worked at various jobs, cleaning and repairing street lights, manufacturing brake shoes, pumping gas and managing a fast-food restaurant.

Will Caron said he last saw his friend in mid-June, when a group gathered for a massive weekend-long board game of Risk. As his wife Jodi broke down in tears over the loss of their friend, and his three-year-old daughter talked about how her father had been crying too, Mr. Caron just shook his head in disbelief. Why didn't anyone fight back? he asked. Surely the three dozen passengers could have overpowered a lone man with a knife.

“Only in movies would you think something like this would happen. Not in real life. Not on a bus,” he said.

Derek Caron said he and Mr. McLean were planning to move to B.C. together in the fall. Mr. McLean loved the outdoors, he said, and they were going to set out with a tent and find whatever work they could.

The gruesome details of their friend's killing, the beheading and dismemberment, are rarely mentioned, referred to only in whispers, but their presence lingers in every conversation.

“I'm hoping it was quick,” Ms. Storey said. “I hope he didn't suffer through it.”

Maybe the guy felt left out...Hell, if they had given him a tablet, he probably woulda tried to bang the guy, instead of beheading him.

I didn't post that SG - it was from a post by UB. I've never done hard drugs in my life. One day I may mind you just for curiosity sake. My biggest concern is addiction and having a bad asthma attack. Who knows maybe when I know I have a few months to live I'll snort some coke. Then if I become addicted who cares .

Here's an update to that story - makes you think this girl dared him to kill the guy or something.

_____

Accused chatted with victim's co-worker
Prior to decapitation, Vince Li sat with victim's colleague
Mike McIntyre, Winnipeg Free Press
Published: Tuesday, August 05, 2008

WINNIPEG - The seeds for Tim McLean’s brutal murder on board a Greyhound bus last week may have been planted when the man accused of his murder, Vince Li, spent nearly an hour chatting up the victim’s co-worker during their ride through western Manitoba, the Winnipeg Free Press has learned.

Li, 40, took a seat at the front of the bus beside a woman named Stacy after getting on board in Brandon. The pair chatted and were even seen smoking together during a rest stop.

Vince Li, the accused in last week's beheading on a Greyhound bus in Manitoba, took a seat at the front of the bus beside a woman who claimed to be the victim's coworker after getting on board in Brandon. The pair chatted and were even seen smoking together during a rest stop, the Winnipeg Free Press has learned.

As the bus resumed its ill-fated journey towards Winnipeg, Li suddenly moved to the back of the bus and sat beside McLean, who was listening to his headphones and apparently asleep.

Moments later, McLean was being repeatedly stabbed until he was decapitated. Horrified passengers fled the bus but managed to lock the killer inside the bus.

McLean’s family and friends don’t believe Li’s change-of-seating was a coincidence. And they question why he was charged with second-degree murder and not first-degree murder, which indicates planning and premeditation.

“I have this unbelievably strong feeling that him sitting beside Stacy had something to do with this,” McLean’s former girlfriend, Alexandra Storey, told the Free Press in an exclusive interview Monday.

Tim and Stacy had become friends while working together at various western Canadian fairs through North American Midway Entertainment.

They were travelling together to Winnipeg - although seated separately in different areas of the bus - and had planned to meet up with a mutual friend in the city before all heading to British Columbia.

McLean’s loved ones now desperately want to speak with Stacy - her last name is not known to them - to find out more about her dealings with Li on the bus.

They only know that she quickly returned to B.C. after McLean’s killing, and presumably after an interview with police.

A call to North American Midway Entertainment seeking information about the woman wasn’t returned on Monday.

Storey is also haunted by a series of text messages McLean sent to her as he made his way through Manitoba. Her ex-boyfriend - to whom she remained very close - mentioned that some people were doing ecstasy on the bus.

Some medical experts say the combination of a powerful stimulant drug such as ecstasy, combined with pre-existing mental health conditions, could trigger a violent episode.

Storey isn’t buying it.

"Even if he was doing drugs, it wouldn’t make him do something like that. There’s no excuse," she said.

A Winnipeg family that had extensive dealings with Li during his two years spent living in the city told the Free Press on Saturday they believe he was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. However, he refused to go see a doctor to be diagnosed or prescribed any medication, despite a strong push from the family and members of a local church where he attended and briefly worked as a janitor.

Li’s erratic behaviour included making statements about always being watched and taking sudden, unexplained bus trips to various locales including The Pas and Toronto. He eventually left his wife, Anna, in 2006 and moved to Edmonton, where he began delivering newspapers and briefly worked at McDonald’s. Anna recently left Winnipeg to join him in Alberta.

Li last delivered newspapers on July 28, according to his boss in Edmonton, Vincent Augert. On Tuesday, he "fell off the face of the earth," Augert said, which was unlike Li. Augert phoned him and a woman who identified herself as Li’s wife called back, saying Li’s disappearance wasn’t planned.

"She said to me, ‘I don’t know where he is, he had to leave town, it was an emergency,’" Augert said. Li had told Augert three weeks ago that he had plans to go to Winnipeg for a job interview.

It’s not officially known yet why Li was on the Greyhound headed for Winnipeg Wednesday. Li has no prior criminal record in Canada, according to RCMP.

Justice sources say his background in China will be examined closely as the case proceeds through the courts.

Storey told the Free Press they are disgusted by media reports that they believe paint the accused Li in a sympathetic light, regardless of any medical issues he may have.

“Everyone is talking about his background, how he went to church, was a good guy . . . He never gave Tim a chance,” she said.

“Mental illness or not, you don’t do that to another human being.”

They also want police to closely examine Li’s time in Canada for fear there could be other violent incidents that have yet to be uncovered.

McLean’s family is currently in the planning stages for his funeral, which is expected to be a small, private affair despite the worldwide attention and condolences his killing has generated, she said.

Wow, that is definitely an interesting twist.

No way in Hell that his switching seats was just a coincidence....No way.

I'm not blaming the girl in any way for the actual murder, but, i gaurantee you, something that was said between her and Li caused him to go to the back of the bus and sit with the victim...

Hopefully the truth about that whole conversation comes out eventually.

Evil woman .... (best listened to after snorting coke laced with her'on)

You made a fool of me, but them broken dreams have got to end.

Hey woman, you got the blues, cos you aint got no one else to use.
Theres an open road that leads nowhere, so just make some miles
Between here and there.
Theres a hole in my head where the rain comes in,
You took my body and played to win,
Ha ha woman its a crying shame,
But you aint got no one else to blame.

Chorus
E-evil woman, e-evil woman, e-evil woman, evil woman

Rolled in from another town,
Hit some gold too hot to settle down,
But a fool and his money soon go separate ways,
And you found a fool lyin in a daze,
Ha ha woman what you gonna do,
You destroyed all the virtues that the lord gave you,
Its so good that youre feeling pain,
But you better get yourself on board the very next train.

Chorus:repeat

Evil woman how you done me wrong,
But now youre tryin to wail a different song,
Ha ha funny how you broke me up, you made the wine now you
Drink the cup,
I came runnin every time you cried,
Thought I saw love smilin in your eyes,
Ha ha very nice to know, that you aint got no place left to go.
