OT: 2008 Summer Blockbusters...What have you seen?

I've taken my son to see quite a few. Here's my general impression so far out of 4 stars:

Iron Man: 4 stars
Wall E: 2 stars
Indiana Jones: 2 1/2 stars
Baby Mama: 3 stars
Zohan: 2 1/2 stars

Get Smart
Hulk

Iron Man was awesome...Both the wife and i loved it.

Thats pretty much the only good movie i have seen in a few months....Pretty lame summer movie season so far, imo...May break down this weekend and check out Indiana Jones...Heard it wasn't all that great though.

Was a disappointment for Old School Indy fans like me. My mother said, "Yeah, because you saw the series when you were a teenager and nothing can recreate that." She's prob right.

Indiana Jones was like -5 stars..I thouight it was terrible.

the last movie I saw in a theater was "The Departed"...guess i need to get out more



just caught up with Superbad, Knocked Up, There Will be Blood, etc. so still got a ways to go until I am ready for these new ones

What was the problem with Wall-E? Reviews were great, I was planning to see it.

Indiana Jones sucked really bad. Looking forward to Iron Man on DVD.

I just saw the movie Wanted.

If you want a movie with that moves along with a quick pace, tons of action and special effects go see Wanted. A great popcorn leave your brain at home summer movie IMO.

3.5 out of 5 for me.

Yeah, count me amongst those who were very disappointed with the Indiana Jones movie. I loved the first three, and was looking forward to this one. The last half hour of the movie was just incredibly stupid. Obviously there was a reason they waited so long to make the fourth movie; they couldn't come up with a good idea, but then decided to cash in anyway.

Get Smart- Poor if you're a fan of the Real Get Smart. OK if you're not familiar with it.

Wanted- Violent garbage. Angelina was a bit player and was uninspiring.

Looking forward to Hancock and especially The Dark Knight.

Saw Hancock today. Pretty good movie and not exactly what I expected.

Iron Man: Good as the Spiderman movies. Shocked it was that good.
Wall E: Thought it was cute. My 5 year old and her friend loved it. Don't expect Short Circuit. This movie is aimed toward smaller kids.
Indiana Jones: First half, 4 stars. Second half and end, 1 star.

I don't think i have heard a single person yet complain about Iron Man....Seems like pretty much everyone across the board liked that one.

The prob for me with Wall E was that I liked it the first time I saw it, when it was called Short Circuit, LOL. It was a kid's flick.....very slow the first 30 mins. Nothing special about it graphics or story-wise.
