very true Teaze. when i went on my roadtrip last October, i was on the fone with Minnow bitchin about how poorly the highways were. only state i drove through that had decent hiways was Oregon, like glass.

the rest are robbin Peter to pay Paul.

the fleecing continues. would oil companies such as exxon be active on the futures markets to drive up prices? they certainly have the bankroll.

funny you mention that as i was in a conversation with someone who stated most of the speculative money was coming from two sources......big oil and the middle east, odd that higher prices benefit these two intrest the most but nothing being said of the market manipulation that's obviously occuring.

Doesn't seem too long ago when stopping for gas at a convenience store and only having a 50 dollar bill was a problem.

lol

thats a good point... used to see those "we can not accept any bills larger than $20" at pretty much ever gas station.

nowadays, $20.00 will barely get you to the next gas station.

up up and away, crude almost 110.00 per barrell today. look for a fairly sizeable increase in pump prices in the next 24-72 hrs...........fcuking about to kill this economy that's in a slowdown on it's own.

haven't heard anything about any noticeable bump in price here yet.....but, i haven't left the house since Sunday either, so, i may just be missing it...

i did notice my ticket to Maine was $37 more this time than the last 2 trips though.

inventory for locations takes about 3-5 days to rotate unless it's a higher volume location...you'll see it middle to late week. if any of you operate diesel vehicles you'll see a larger increase..............you may want to look into "home" brewing of bio-diesel to cut your expenses.

Cost me $52 to fill up this morning. Couldn't wait any longer. The damn car was flashing a Will Robinson "Danger" sign at me and told me I only had 11 miles to go before I ran out of gas. I've always wanted to test that and see what happens when you get to zero. What's the worst that can happen? They send the roadside assistance guy. But I probably lose two hours of my life I'll never get back.
