“The Celebrity Apprentice” Week 9 — Donald Trump to Tito Ortiz: “You’re Fired”

Tito Ortiz on The ApprenticeHe’s beat down some of the world’s toughest fighters, and he’s battled his way to success in a cut-throat business world. But on Wednesday’s episode of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” UFC light heavyweight Tito Ortiz couldn’t KO Omarosa.

Ortiz becomes the eighth cast member from NBC’s reality game show to be told “You’re fired” by host and business mogul Donald Trump.

The task this week is to create a four-page photo essay for Redbook that will promote Dial Nourishing Yogurt Body Wash. Company executives say they’ll judge the two teams on creativity, the integration of the Dial brand, and the overall message and content. The winning project manager earns $20,000 for his or her charity of choice.

Before the details of the task are even finished being read, former “The Apprentice” cast member — and resident witch — Omarosa staunchly tells her team (which includes Ortiz, Stephen Baldwin and Trace Adkins) that she’s going to be project manager. However, just seconds later, Trump says that the losing team leader will likely be fired, so Omarosa instead backtracks and tells Ortiz he should be project manager.

Omarosa prides herself as a marketing specialist. And considering she’s the team’s only female member, she would seem the logical choice to lead a task of marketing women’s body soap in a women’s magazine.

Ortiz initially hesitates when Omarosa skirts the duties, but he ultimately accepts the project-manager position.

It wouldn’t be a wise decision.

Ortiz’s final product is criticized as disjointed, and the problems only snowball when he flubs the pitch to company executives. Tripping over his words and failing to deliver a coherent message, he finishes a distant second in the challenge, and his team is summoned to the boardroom so someone can be fired.

Once there, Omarosa — in her trademark fashion — tries to pin the blame on Ortiz. Ortiz immediately defends himself and says he was only the team leader because Omarosa weaseled out of it. But, when Trump asks which team member leasts deserves to be fired, Ortiz says he’s going to be honest and picks Omarosa.

So, Ortiz gets the ax instead.

Unlike most firings, though, Trump says he was thoroughly impressed with Ortiz’s performance on the show and that he isn’t happy to see him go. In fact, as a token of his appreciation, Trump awards Ortiz an additional $50,000 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Although Ortiz is knocked out of the competition, he leaves knowing that he outlasted more than half of the 14-person cast and that he raised a total of $70,000 for his charity.

Too bad he didn't stick with blaming Omarosa...He could have at least out up some sort of fight in the board room.

It's like childs play in there for Omarosa. Would have liked to seen Tito win it though. Think Tito might be suffering back to back losses after his fight with Machida in May.

Looks like Baldwin is helping Trace pull off the final win, by pretty much screwing Piers Morgan on this final 'challenge'...


Was stupid of him enlisting Baldwins help getting celebs though, for a shitload of reasons...Main one being that Baldwin is good friends with Trace...lol

You could tell by baldwins smirk, and "oh well" comment at the end of the show, that he wasn't gonna help the brit...Was kinda lowdown actually, but, the brit is a snobbish prick, so, i think it's pretty amusing really..



Hard to believe though, that the redneck dude is gonna win this thing...I gave him no shot whatsoever...

Last year it was TITO....This season, Scott Hamilton..

16 new celebrities will rise to the challenge and once again it will be men versus women.

The men include: Clint Black, Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Green, Scott Hamilton, Jesse James, Brian McKnight, Dennis Rodman, and Herschel Walker.

The women include: Annie Duke, Natalie Gulbis, Claudia Jordan, Khloe Kardashian, Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Brande Roderick and Tionne Watkins.


All the celebrities will be vying for the coveted title as they fight for their respective causes.
