Default "Survivor" question

Is there some rule I am unaware of preventing people from stealing the immunity idols from each other? I have wondered this the last few times people were shown sneaking into backpacks and found another tribe mate was holding.

Remember the hippy w/the tie-dye shirt Minnow? Think his name was Rueban?

The very first thing he did was steal stuff from the other survivor's stash in that town when they were shopping for food stores ...

No rules. Lie, cheat, steal. It's the American Way, right?

I would steal the idol(s) and bury it I think, and not tell anyone.

Guessing there's a rule of no stealing from the other contestants' bags. The show was poorly edited to make you think it was a possibility she took the idols, building some anticipation, but then they couldn't pay it off at the end and just left you wondering what happened.

I think they told her she couldn't take the real idols, so she was left hoping that blank was an idol too, and had to try to run with it.

Can't believe how stupid that little weenie guy was not to blindside James, when James didn't suspect anything and so many other people were up for it. You don't get that many chances. Although I predict things will not go well for James the next few weeks. Expect a lot of brain- and balance- related stunts he can't win. No way the show is gonna let him run the table.

no shit. he woulda been gone too because he didn't play the idol when he was supposed too.

what i can't believe is that he let the fool have both idols, and no balls to demand one of them ... well, thinkin about it, yes i can. he's a stewardess

don't know if there's rules or not about thieving, just know Reuban stole people's food and gear when they were all shopping in town an left it at their meet point. seems to me if that were kosher, then why not takin an idol if left unguarded?

Like you said, Rupert just stole some shit from the other team's stash while they weren't looking. He didn't really steal anything that officially belonged to anybody, like out of their bag.

Besides, I'm sure they knew they had a goldmine in Rupert and were happy to give him a pass.

I goggled and saw a vague reference to a rule that you can snoop through bags but can't steal the idol. I suppose that would create total anarchy...

Also can't believe stewie didn't force James to cough up the extra idol. wtf

Are a lot of people still watching this show?

My wife and her brother used to watch every damn season, and would yak about the shit over the radio non-stop..

Now, they both seem to be skipping this season, and, maybe i've just missed it, but, i never hear anything about it anymore on the morning shows, like i used to.

Used to always hear what happened, who got booted, etc...

Don't recall hearing a single thing from this season so far.. nada.

not only is he gay, but he's stupid. he basically told the guy where they both were while he was in their camp, wanting to show him how smart he is, instead of grabbing one for himself, and then telling the other guy where it was at in his own camp ...

smart + ego = stupid

Was up for grabs last night. Any 3 of the finalists could have won it, but Todd answers to the questions were far and away better than the other 2.

he was honest that he was a lying scum-sucking piece of shit. admirable quality.

my point ... is that deceit is admired and rewarded. fugedabout being shrewd and having integrity. Denise prettymuch summed it up when she told him he'd have to live with himself and the way he lies and deceives people so naturally ...
