Default PATRIOTS/COWBOYS PREVIEW FROM SPORTSBOOK.COM

Given the fact that the Cowboys have not started a season 5-0 since 1983, it is amazing that 94% of the early bettors at Sportsbook.com - Everything's Faster! betting against them. Then again, given the fact that they will face off against the 5-0 Patriots, perhaps this high percentage isnít so amazing after all. An important trend that the public seems to not be taking into account is the value in home underdogs. Through the first five weeks of the season, home teams that were getting points are 17-8 ATS. Given that most bettors prefer backing the favorite, this scenario has wreaked havoc on the publicís betting accounts.

If the fact that both of these teams are undefeated wasnít enough, there is plenty of media hype leading up to the game. Many believe this will be a preview of Super Bowl XLII. As a matter of fact, this match-up is currently the overwhelming favorite (5-2) to meet up in early February.

As for the game itself, most are expecting a high scoring affair considering each teamís high powered offenses. So far, the Pats and Boys are combining for 71.6 points per game. Even more impressive is that out of the combined 10 games, only one time did either of them fail to score 34+ (Dallas last Monday). It is no wonder; these two have each covered the OVER four out of five times. Just like the side, TOTAL betting has been pretty one sided as well. 69% of the early bettors that are taking advantage of Sportsbook.comís -105 Fridays think this game will surpass the 53 point TOTAL. Bettors canít ignore the equally impressive defensive numbers each has put up this season. Patriotsí opponents average only 13 points a game and the most they have given up was 17. The Cowboys only surrender 19.2 points per game and they have not given up an offensive touchdown in their last two games. If the Cowboys are going to surprise the public and keep this game close, it is imperative that they donít turn the ball over. At +7, the Patriots have the best turnover margin in the NFL which could concern Cowboys faithful as Tony Romo is coming off a 6 turnover game.

Whether you are riding the publicís favorite or see value in home dogs, be sure to check Sportsbook.com - Everything's Faster! 'sbetting trends to monitor any line movements. Also, back by popular demand this weekend is Sportsbook.comís NFL Shutout Promotion. If you back a team on the money line and they get shutout, your will receive a full bonus refund.

Cowboy were +7 too until the other nite, and because they have won the last 4/meetings in Irving I was going to take them as a Dog, put heavy emphasis on WAS.

Their showing in Buffalo was pathetic, and I seriously doubt the Pats would have collasped like that. Pats are gonna come into town an roll this time, plus they're due to win there.

Besides, just about every time i get one of these alerts the opposite happens. They're simply designed to swing the money ... offset the loss.

I think the Joes are right this time.

(from NFL.com)

Patriots WR Randy Moss vs. Cowboys WR Terrell Owens: These two star receivers have squared off three times -- Moss has four TD receptions in those games, Owens has two. If Dallas CB Anthony Henry is unable to play with an ankle injury, then Moss has a big advantage. Owens, meanwhile, has a five-inch height advantage on New England's best cornerback, Asante Samuel. He has a six-inch advantage over the other CB, Ellis Hobbs.

Patriots QB Tom Brady vs. Cowboys QB Tony Romo: If the Cowboys are to win, Romo needs to play a perfect game -- he can't afford to make the kinds of mistakes he made against Buffalo. Brady, meanwhile, simply needs to play well. Because New England has a better defense and running game, he doesn't need to be perfect for the Patriots to win.

Patriots TE Benjamin Watson vs. Cowboys TE Jason Witten: This could actually be the key matchup of the game, as both tight ends play an integral role in their team's offense. Both should have an advantage in this matchup -- Watson against Dallas safety Roy Williams and Witten against New England safety Rodney Harrison. In particular, Watson is a tough matchup for Williams because of his speed, and he can be very dangerous when he lines up outside, basically making him a wide receiver.

Patriots TE Ben Watson poses a major
threat to the Dallas defense this weekend.

Dallas' CB corps are supposedly banged up... And, unl;ess they pull a 180 from last week, they are in for a beating, imo.

side is sitting at +/-5Ĺ right now at BetJam, if i had to take a side, it would be the Pats...I just don't see the Cowboys holding up agauinst NE, when they barely pulled off a win against the Bills.

Last game coulda been a fluke though, thats for sure..I doubt Romo will toss as many ducks..lol

If anything though, i kinda like the Over, but, only because i think NE will get 1 or 2 defensive scores, OR, because it will be an all-out shootout.

Iow, i ain't takin shit.
