Default book lost my season wins bet

I ask them how come I got paid on my season wins bet(Tigers O 87.5) and not my other one(Yankees U 97.5)? They say they did not find a log of the bet in question on file. Maybe they thought since I made the bet a long time ago I might have forgot about it but I write down all my bets in my notebook. I've hit them pretty good as of late maybe they're pissed at that. The sportsbook is Intertops in case you're wondering and it was a $275 bet. What am I supposed to do now?

mikeymike~

Sorry to hear that.

Did you print those future tickets out way back when? If so, faxing them to those people might help...or would it?

If you have the tix numbers of the wagers then they can't be "lost". They can be looked up.......that's your first step.

always a good idea to takes screen shots of futures. Actually, good to do it for all bets but that can be time consuming, so you might want to just do your futures and any unusually large bets

I know it doesn't help now, but something to keep in mind for the future.

it isn't really time consuming at all, imo....with a good sc tool, you can save every single wager into one specific folder, with just 1 click of a button each time..or, just take a daily screencap of the 'client staement' or pending wagers.

definitely worth the effort, imo.

Hi Mikeymike,

the bet you referred to was paid out on the 22nd September and shows up in your bet history on the 1st of April - because it was a season bet.

Could you please confirm that the bet it is booked?

best regards,
Intertops

This is a shining example of why government rules and regulations are not needed for internet gambling. This is an issue that gets "addressed", and what seems to be rectified, in a public forum. Just think how nice it would be to have a world, where most disputes were addressed in the public forum WITHOUT LITIGATION LAWYERS and FILING FEES.

true, but many books would not have addressed the situation

not arguing for regulation here, but certainly there have been many disputes in the past where the book refused to budge even after 3rd party arbitration

Good job by Itops. I can't even imagine how tough it must be to give good customer service if you're a book. I'm quite sure MM didn't start this thread knowing he had gotten paid, but was truly thinking he got screwed. Yet the book, which did absolutely nothing wrong is getting trashed in public. Fortunately, they were able to respond and came out of this one looking good. But I can imagine some customers that would have called down there, started cursing and fighting. It's really a tough situation fo rthe book.
