Can't see why you would say thenut was any more greedy then the guy that won. At 2 times they tried to make a deal and at both times both players tried to get the best of it. the article also said that thenut is a top mtt player. if that is the case and he feels he has an edge over the other 2 players and he has the chip lead why would he ever agree to a deal.

I read the whole article. Everything that went on is an insult to poker. Random cards. Ya.

Flopped full house (the other guy has the last 7 so he has trips), flopped sets to be beaten by runner runner straight, flopped sets but the other guy also hits his top pair to set him up, etc., etc., etc.

Not that these things don't happen in normal poker but very very few and far between.

The two remaining players then again paused the tournament to discuss a chop. Mlagoo had $8.8 million in the chip lead at the time and thenut21 had $6 million. The by-the-chips chop numbers had mlagoo guaranteed $221,626 and thenut21 guaranteed $202,465, with $50,000 to play for. Thenut21 now countered that he wanted a straight even chop or he would not agree. Mlagoo called the proposal ridiculous (most likely considering the fact that thenut21 rejected an even chop earlier, when the stacks were almost identical) and thenut21 asked for the tournament to continue.
If you don't want to consider a chop, fine.. play on. In this case he was willing to discuss a chop, but insisted on more than the fair value of his stack.

Funny/ironic that it came down to AA vs KK

I would never take a chop deal. I'm used to playing for all or nothing. When you're already guaranteed $100,000 and you're playing for $300,000, that's kiss my ass deal the cards time.

The final table of this tournament was truly stacked. Some notable players at the table included Steven “SvZff” van Zadelhoff (who has already won a Sunday Million event on April 22 of this year, earning $164,000),

SvZff 901 $0 $24 -3% $266 Pokerstars
That's sick and sad. Chump wins 164 dimes and gives it all back. This is why only 1% of gamblers are overall winners.

If I ever won the Suicide Sunday Million at PS, I am hitting the withdrawal page for all but maybe a dime. It not only is possible I would lose all of the money, it is a certainty if I start playing high limit no limit and sit and goes.

$164,000 is $164 if you are playing high limit tables. Same goes with sports betting...
