Troubled NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones may be involved in a shooting early Monday at a DeKalb County strip club, WSB-TV reported.

Dekalb police said two groups of men got into an argument around 2:30 a.m. at Club Blaze, a Moreland Avenue strip club, WSB said.

Three men say they left the club in an SUV and were approached by Jones and his entourage in another SUV. When Jones' vehicle pulled alongside the other vehicle near I-285, someone opened fire.

No one was hit by bullets, but one person was scratched by flying plastic, WSB reported.

Investigators want to question Jones, a College Park native, about the incident. No charges have been filed.

Last week, Jones, a star defensive back with the Tennessee Titans, accepted a one-year suspension from the NFL after a meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

"I understand my responsibilities to my teammates, the Titans and my fans and I am committed to turning my life around and being a positive member of the NFL," Jones said in a statement at the time.

Jones was suspended after 10 encounters with police and five arrests since he was drafted in 2005.

Still pending is a case in Las Vegas involving a fight and shooting at a strip club during the NBA All-Star weekend that left one person paralyzed.

DECATUR, Ga. -- Police are searching for troubled NFL player Pacman Jones after a shooting outside a DeKalb County strip club.

The incident started at Club Blaze on Moreland Avenue.

Witnesses told police that a man claiming to be the suspended football player became angry when a group of men approached a woman with him and asked her for a dance. The woman was not a dancer at the club.

The man police think is Jones became upset and threatened the men.

That group told police they left the club and were driving away, but were followed by several armed men.

Police said it appears both groups opened fire, leaving one SUV riddled with bullet holes.

One person was injured by flying debris during the shooting.

The NFL suspended Jones for a year after a series of run-ins with police.

Troubled NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones is wanted for questioning in a shooting early Monday at a DeKalb County strip club that left one man with minor injuries.

However, police said they do not think Jones was directly involved in the shooting. They believe members of his entourage were involved.

DeKalb police confirmed they want to talk to the College Park native, whose entourage got into an argument with three other men about 4:16 a.m. at Club Blaze, a Moreland Avenue strip club, according to Officer Ariel Toledo, a department spokesman.

When the men with whom they argued left the club, Jones's entourage followed them in two vehicles police identified as a green Dodge Charger and a black Pontiac Grand Prix. Toledo said police believe Jones was in a third vehicle, identified as a Cadillac Escalade, and was not directly involved in the shooting or in chasing the victim's car.

Someone from Jones' entourage allegedly shot into the vehicle they were following, Toledo said. Someone in the victim's car returned fire. One person in the victim's car suffered minor injuries from shrapnel, but refused treatment, Toledo said. The gunfire exchange happened near I-285.

"We're still investigating," Toledo said. "We want to speak to Adam 'Pacman' Jones because we believe the people he was with were involved."

No charges have yet been filed in the case.

Jones, who went to Westlake High School, was suspended on April 10 for the upcoming season under the NFL's new stricter player conduct policy. He has been interviewed by police 10 times and been arrested five times since being drafted in 2005. Last week he dropped his appeal of the punishment after meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

"Last week, I asked for an opportunity to meet privately with commissioner Goodell," Jones said in a statement last week. "I met with him [Tuesday] to tell him about the steps I have taken to change my life since being suspended by the NFL. I accept the discipline that's been imposed on me and I am withdrawing my appeal."

The season-long suspension could have been reduced to 10 games had Jones met requirements set by Goodell in last week's meeting. Jones was to make $1,292,500 this season.

The most serious of Jones' troubles occurred during in Las Vegas in February when a fight and shooting at a strip club during the NBA All-Star weekend that paralyzed one person. Police recommended felony and misdemeanor charges against Jones.

In 2005, Jones was charged in Nashville with assault and vandalism stemming from an altercation at a night club.

Jones' agent Michael Huyghue said last week that the player would spend his suspension working out and taking online courses from the University of West Virginia, where he played collegiately.

At the time of the suspension, Titans owner Bud Adams told the Associated Press that the team respected Goodell's decision and added: "We are hopeful that it will achieve the goals of disciplining the player and eventually enabling him to return to the field of play."

Pacman Jones has yet to cooperate with Georgia police who want to question him about a strip club altercation on June 18 that led to a shooting nearby.

''Adam Pacman Jones has not talked to DeKalb County Officers," Keisha R. Williams, deputy director of the communications office of the DeKalb County police, said in an e-mail on Wednesday. "He has refused to meet with us. And yes we are still trying to talk to Jones."


Jones' Atlanta attorney, Manny Arora, said Wednesday he offered for police to come to Nashville to meet with Jones or to visit him when he was at his Atlanta area home.

They declined, and as far as Arora is concerned, the issue is over.

"It's highly inappropriate for the police to be commenting on whether somebody talks to them or not," he said.

"All they are doing is fanning the flames in the press. This has more to do with publicly embarrassing him than talking to him for the investigation."
