DOVER, Del. (AP) -

A state legislative committee is scheduled to hold a hearing this afternoon in Dover on a proposal to establish sports betting.
The hearing of the House Gaming and Pari-mutuels Committee is scheduled for 4 p-m.

The bill directs the state lottery office to establish a sports lottery that would allow wagering on both professional and collegiate events, with the exception of those involving a Delaware college or university.

It has support in both the House and Senate.

The sports lottery would be offered only at the state's three existing horse track slot-machine casinos.

Supporters of the measure say it could boost state revenues by 70 (M) million dollars a year and help ease economic losses from gambling in nearby states.

and yea its a lottery format but sometimes tons of value in there


never got to play the oregon lottery but looking at the lines each week it is easy to see how you could make a decent buck off it
