Default NEWS FLASH: NASCAR to suspend Kurt Busch....

Sources have told AutoRacingSport.com that NASCAR will suspend Penske Racing Dodge driver Kurt Busch for this weekends’ Nextel Cup Pocono race for his actions following a crash between himself and Joe Gibbs driver Tony Stewart. The penalty is expected to be handed down today.

Busch and Stewart wrecked out of Turn 4 on Lap 270 of last Monday’s rain-delayed Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway. Not surprisingly, the drivers blamed each other for the accident, which dropped two of top-10 cars to 40th (Stewart) and 42nd (Busch). Stewart pointed out that Busch hadn’t cleared him when the No. 2 Dodge moved up the track to complete a pass. Busch, of course, blamed Stewart for the incident.

The real source of concern, however, is what happened on pit road after the wreck. As Stewart’s No. 20 Chevrolet sat in its pit stall, Busch drove his Dodge alongside and appeared to graze Stewart’s car just narrowly missing Gibbs jackman Jason Lee, who had to jump over the right front quarter of Stewart’s Chevy to avoid a hit from Busch’s car.

I love road courses and think they should have more of them.

But they arne't very fun to attend 'cuz you only see a little of the track from anywhere you sit, great to watch on TV though. Vegas is a great track to be at if you've never been to a cup race.

it was my first time, and boy did i have a blast despite driving there and back on sunday and monday.

having a unit on truex top 3 +1850 also helped

despite not getting out of the car sunday because of the rain, the scene there was overwhelming. i have never seen so many RV's in my life. monday was much mellower, and i would say the crowd was about 2/3 of capacity.

ill never get over the love affair with dale jr. he seemed to own 70% of the crowd. every time he passed a car, the YA-Hoos went beserk, and when he passed gordon (before he blew his tire and fell off the lead lap), it was nuts.

it was also the loudest thing i have ever been apart of. ive been to plenty of loud rock shows in my life where i could feel the music going thru me, but this was on an entirely different scale. even with the ear plugs in, my brain was rattled...the couple of times i took the out for the 'full trucker effect', i was shaking.

ill go again. dover isnt too far away, and was a great time. i wont go to pocono, but would love to check out darlington or martinsville someday.

I have been before and it kinda sucked. So fucking hot and every neck in the world took their shirt off and had to piss every 45 seconds. The energy of the cars is awesome but the only race I will check out again is the Bristol night race. Unless I can get some garage credentials then I will go to any race.

Back to Busch though, what he did on pit road is unacceptable and he needs to be dealt with. On the track is one thing but they need to keep it there not in the pits where the crews are so vulnerable

I was thinking the same thing... Probably will end up being Vegas, since I hear there are a couple of other things to do there...

Well, where did they get the info that he was going to be suspended???

People may have made bets based on that info, and that therefore is B.S.

Kurt Busch deserved what he got.

Stewart should have gotten the same or worse. He is becoming the Jimmy Spencer of NASCAR.

If Busch wouldn't have pulled the pit road stunt he wouldn't have deserved any penalty in my opinion.

Stewart is the one that NASCAR better get control of. I can't believe someone hasn't slapped him around yet.

That's not true.

Jeff Gordon slapped him on the forehead with the head of his cock in this summers sequel to Brokeback Mountain.

It's called Brokeback Martinsville and it's cumming this summer to theatre near you.
