Belcher vs Sean Salmon

**Salmon will never beat anyone good. Notice, when striking, he leads with his left foot, and when shooting a takedown, he leads with right foot. Totally predictable style and huge MMA flaw.

so Chuck is suddenly a chump now?

amazing how everyone is willing to call him the best fighter in UFC on Friday, but come Sunday it is time for him to hang it up

he can certainly beat rampage. He will have to earn a rematch though by beating up on some other competition

MMA is the most unforgiving of all sports. Chuck is far from done. He was ripping thru everyone before this loss. He has the skills to beat Rampage if they fight again. First Rampage has to beat Dan Henderson. It will be a good fight.

Sorry joe i have all the respect in the world when it comes to your opinion of mma fights but chuck has shown me nothing that tells me he can beat rampage. It may not matter though as rampage is no lock versus henderson. Is that fight confirmed?

i can't speak for others but some of us said all along that rampage would beat chuck. Rampage is far from the best hell i don't even think he is top 5 but he is just a terrible matchup for chuck. He negates chucks striking with his inclose and tight boxing and he can take chuck down and keep him there. Chuck like to keep distance between him and his opponent.

so did I and I had a good bet on him, but that doesn;t mean he is going to win that fight every time, remember he was still an underdog. He hit Chuck with one good shot and that gave him the match. The opposite could have happened just as easily.

anyone want to learn to beat MMA?

bet on liddell next fight
bet against rampage next fight
bet against alexander next fight
bet on jardine next fight
bet on crocop next fight

etc, etc, etc

way to much overreaction to what are essentially one-punch fights, and now SO MUCH public money coming in. With all these new fans essentially having no understanding of the history they are giving recent results way too much weight

Rampage has been fighting since 1999 and suddenly he is the secong coming of ali?

he right dk he doesn't win every fight versus chuck but i say he wins 7 out of 10. I also agree that beting against rampage in his next fight will have value. This is true simply because of puplic perception. lastly i never meant to imply that chuck is suddenly a peace of crap. Just saying he is gona have a tough road to hoe if he wants his belt back. This is particularly true if the rumors of shogun coming to the ufc are true. Also someone in this very thread mentioned Dan was gona fight rampage. I can only assume this means he is coming to the ufc. I would rank both of these fighters above rampage. Not saying i'll put money on either though.

they announced that the winner of this fight would fight henderson, that is official, I think it was announced Saturday night on the PPV

shogun also was an official announcement made during the last UFC PPV I think...or maybe it was 2 events ago? IN any case they made a huge deal of it.

littleogre why are you all of a sudden sold on Rampage? You say you were on him all along but the day before the fight you posted "no bet for me" down in the UFC forum and sounded very hesitant about the whole thing

unfortunately, in this game you have to make your predictions before you get to see the fights

Actually i did bet rampage at +140. i don't post my plays here as nobody reads them anyway. I did post it at another forum. If you want the forums name for proof i will gladly give it to you in a pm as shilling for other forums is not the point of this thread. At the time i posted the thread i had not made the bet. Also i always sound hesitant about my picks. Heck i'll even give you a link directly to the thread.

don't really care who you did or didnt bet, just saying that your opinion seems to have changed quite a bit since Friday and it is dangerous making a big adjustment because of a single fight

anyhow, I think Rampage beats Henderson but I am not laying the -170 that is out there, think that line is just about right
