another trophy for Pachuca. Glad to see them take this one. They will be a fun side to watch at the world club championship in Japan come december. Not quite good enough to win it, but their open style will make for some entertaining matches.

Pachuca might be the best team in North American history. Big fish in a small pond, true, but they also did win the Copa Sudamericana. They deserved this win over Chivas because they had two goals wrongly disallowed for offsides last week, and they pretty much outplayed them last night, too. This is a classic case of an exciting 0-0 game.

Last years win over Chivas for the Mexican title was even more dramatic.

I own an apartment building outside of Pachuca and plan to retire there one day (it's my wife's home town). Pachuca's kind of a secret city in Mexico. Very nice place. I'm looking forward to being the old gringo at home games.

wow, that's cool Pokerjoe. It seems like a real enthusiastic following at their home games. Max Bretos constantly lauded their managment as one of the best and said the players love to play there. A really nice, little known sports story. Hope they can keep it going.

Does neteller deal with mexican banks? :o

I think of Pachuca as the Green Bay Packers of Mexican soccer. Great track record, smaller city, oldest francise in Mexico.

too bad they couldn't pull it out in regulation, I had a monster play on them at -0.25 +101.

Still in amazement how they were not up a couple by half time. I don't care that it lost, that line was wrong by 1/2 goal considering their home track record and the first leg at Chivas.

Any idea why they chose to sit Landin for 89 minutes? I know they usually bring their guns off the bench but that was a bit ridiculous if they really wanted to go to Tokyo, don't you think.
