This is what it will look like when finished, Stevo -- sorta bcuz the seat is low profile instead. i'm 71, what gal is gonna ride with me? so i don't need that extra rear seat

All my turn signal & brake lights are new so it looks clean. Plus i'm putting on a windscreen to keep the yellow jackets from goin' in my helmet again (ear) And the nice thing about this windscreen is that it goes out over the hand grips so it blocks the cold wind from hitting you hands

I own some MO stock, and in a round about way, I own BUD.

I quit drinking when mid-September and BUD was trading at 90. Today it 66.29.

What does that say about me!!

I had a 1981 CX500 and a 1982 CB900 Custom.

Took the CX500 from the Twincities to FSU in 1986. I drove from Louisville KY, to Dothan Alabama in the pouring rain, with only a half windshield. The first day, when I drove from St. Paul, to Louisville, by the time I stopped at the motel, it felt like I was riding a steel pipe. My butt hurt soooo bad. I checked in,and went down to soak in the pool. I was standing with my back to the wall in the pool, and realized there were water jets. So I maneuvered my ass a little so the jets could hit the sore spots. Next thing you know, I had a sudden urge to take a shit. I didn't realize, I had basically given myself an enema. I looked at my room on the SECOND FLOOR balcony, and knew I had almost no shot at getting there, but did the fast waddle and made the best of it. I'm tellilng you it was a REALLY close call...but I did make it. LOL.

After that fiasco, I upgraded to the CB900 and took it on a 6600 mile, 23 day, western US tour in 1988. That was a great trip. There was a drought in 1988; I think it rained 15 minutes on our entire trip. I could probably right a book here, but I'll save you the time. Maybe later I'll write some.

I originally had that same windscreen on my CB900 custom, but went and found a hondaline fairing, and lowers, and had it custom painted to match. I had the two tone blue one. Man that was a pretty blue.

It was really really tough to find those hondaline parts. They might have been common on the west coast, but not so much in Minnesota. Back then there was no internet, so you just had to call around using the yellow pages etc. Got the fairing in Rochester, MN, the lowers in Ames Iowa, and the mounting brackets in St.Cloud MN.

I could have put a vetter fairing on it, but it wouldn't have looked half as nice. I'll see if I can find some old pictures.
