| Post -up means they already have your money. You must "post-up" to play. A credit shop is exactly as it sounds. You can play on credit. |

| Well let me give you an example Son When I bet with Pinnacle I need the cash in my acount. When I bet with Sportman I do not have to have a fukkin dime to my name and still bet a like a nickel a game and if you lose you just stall them making up excuses until you get the cash. With credit you do not need a fukkin dime in your name and still get down big numbers

| Tatoe, which tribe you come from? Me wantum Redskins, Injuns, or Braves pick... As a gambler, never forget the aspect of "interest due" with a credit shop, for example, when JJ is late to Sportman, fellows with names like "Johnny Knockdown" or "Guido the Kneecapper" will request an extra 20% on balance due when they pay a visit In my neighborhood, it was a big dude referred to, appropriately enough, as "Tiny" On the first visit, Tiny picked you up and gave you a big hug, as a kind of "thank you" in advance of payment I never heard what would happen if there was a second visit... |

| JJ is exactly right. Additionally, Squares are the ones who generally rely upon credit (although there are exceptions ie. BIG players), and often they are the ones that consistently bet small and slowly lose, AND make this a habit. Like getting FULLY used to meeting their agent EVERY week, and atleast spitting up SOME money, even if it is almost never in full. In short, a CONSTANT source of income for the agent who usually MUST exhibit patience in ultimately collecting about 60-80% of "real" losses. Over time, and with relatively light effort, a "patient" agent can break zero kneecaps and play "insurance company" all the way to the mattress. Not terribly concise....but well-intended. D.

| Hey man, I am dead serious. I told you it was a newbie question... The reason I asked is because I'd only recently heard of this type of "shop", and I didn't believe it was true. I thought no way would some random schmoe on the internet be able to play at an internet "credit only" book. Talk about a stupid business model. Now that my suspicions are correct: Are there lots of books out there that allow unknown schmoes to play? What are the pros (if any!!!) of a shop doing this? There's no float. There's no contract. Seems absurd (unless you're playing with your buddies... or unless you have a bunch of really effective goons to track you down). It amazes me. |

| Tatoe, I will assume you are asking a honest question and really do not know the answer so I will try and answer it for you. Prior to the post-up business the larger U.S. illegal bookmakers got tired of their doors being kicked down and charged with a state crimes of bookmaking and /or a federal charges for accepting wagers across state lines. To protect themselves they moved offshore out and away of the local, state and federal jurisdictions of law enforcement. All U.S. based bookmakers were credit operations and they sent a person by to pay and collect from their clients. Then one day a slow paying customer wanted to bet but since he was such a deadbeat the only way he could play was to post-up the funds he wanted to bet with and the post-up business was born. In those days no one and I mean no one in their right mind would ever think of sending money to an outfit in the Dominican Republic or Costa Rica hoping they would send their money back plus their winnings if they won unless they were a bad customer. The internet was just getting off the ground and net entrepenuers like WSEX opened up shop and asked for deposits. Their marketing efforts worked and WALLAH the prepaid (post-up) business was born and has evolved to what it is today. |
