Default Cell Phones?

I know this is not gambling but we use them to call in our bets

My phone contract is out and want to try to use another provider.

What I hear from people around me
VERIZON has the best service hands down
and Nextel has the best Phones and the service is good

ALL others SUCK

Do you guys agree?

Thanks in advance

TS

All people in my area with T mobile says the signal sucks.

I know for a fact that in places where verizon and nextell works
T mobile, sprint and At & T does not

Have you ever tested T mobile against other providers?

I may be unclear

The reason I ask is because over here in NY many of the buildings you don't get service with all phone providers.
But it seems Verizon and Nextel are way above the rest. Because they work in some areas of these buildings.

I am in debate to go for VERIZON(a better service )
or NEXTEL(decent service, best phones, and better and cheaper walkie talkie features)

game,
i am in jersey, and am often in nyc. i have never had a reception problem w/ tmobile.

the walkie talkie only works if you connect with people on the same 'corporate/friends' plan.

also, if you travel a lot, look at the nextel map. sort of lacking (or used to at least).

TS
My friends with T mobile hate it.
When they travel up state, it does not work

And in some highrise buildings in the city they get no signal while Verizon does.

AT&T Wireless is AWFUL

I have had no problems with Cingular.

Buck
I agree
At&T sucks
but they give you the most minutes for your bucks

TS
WalkieTalkie feature works with all nextell phones that have direct connect feaures.
You do not have to be hooked up with the other phones or have packages with them
You just need to know the member ID number of the other Nextel user

I love T Mobile.

Sprint Sucks

I bought an ATT phone and cheap service because they have live PGA golf scoring. I have to get bigger pockets for my pants because I can't fit two phone, sports pager and Mead notebook in them anymore.

Look at any coverage map and you will see that Cingular has the best coverage hands down. I have 5000 minutes of nights and weekends that start at 7 and end at 7 in the morning. I have 5000 mobile to mobile minutes for $10 and my unused minutes rollover.

No such thing as best cell phone/provider, all depends where you live and how many towers/stations are around the area

Falcone

You know it was .45 a minute to call the states while I was in CR from a cell phone or house phone. Here in the US for me to call CR its .79 a minute. What a RIP OFF.

Rasca isn't that bad, they just need to put the towers on top of the mountain instead of on the side.

JJ, 2 times in 2 days...I agree.

I use Nextel
-I like Motorola phones the Best. I just ordered the new i730.
-Nextel offers plans that have: FREE Incoming Calls. As far as I know, Nextel is the ONLY U.S. Cell Phone provider, that offers Free Incoming Calls. This can save you much $$$.
-I do travel a lot. Nextel works great in Big Cites, not so good in the Country.
-Many of my friends have Nextel, so we take advantage of the Direct Connect.
-I do have NextelOnline. Scores, email, news, weather, stocks, movie info, right in my pocket!!!

Like JJGOLD said...there is no such thing as, the best cell phone provider....it is all about: TOWERS. I am very happy with Nextel. But, where I live...Nextel is VERY, VERY, Strong...tons of towers!

Rack I use Nextel too

I think all us posters should have it and then we can talk to each other

Example like right now Rack if you had my number you can page me and say "JJ get on Detroit tonight" and it is direct connect and messages cannot be monitored or intercepted. Secure as you can get. I believe they work nation wide.

Get a Nokia, dude. Go for the best there is.

GameXXX, just ask people you know in the area about COVERAGE as in the end this is what's most important.
