As much I would like to see the Marlins win tonight, I simply can't trust Redman...I'll take my chances with Pettitte...but this stuff scares me:
For Pettitte, it will be his ninth career World Series start dating back to 1996. He's 2-3 with a 5.08 ERA. He'll face Florida left-hander Mark Redman, who'll be making his first World Series start. Torre explained before Saturday night's game why he continued to place Pettitte in the Game 2 spot even though this time the veteran left-hander will be pitching on three days of rest.
"Andy's done well at home, so he's pitching Game 2. If it goes beyond Games 4 and 5, he'll have Game 6 and that will be at home also," Torre said.
