 $250,000 fantasy league ... officially licensed by the NFL Players????? www.thedraft2003.com the website shows it is an officially licensed product of the Players Inc. (what I gathered is that this is the NFL Players association) Grand Prize of $250,000 for fantasy football...draft held at the Venetian in Las Vegas, entry fee is $5000 per team. So the NFL Players are sponsoring gambling on actual results from NFL games. This is absolutely FANTASTIC...just a small step from sponsering this to sponsering actual betting of games in all 50 states!!!!  |

| Doc - I didn't look at the site so I am not sure exactly what this means. I wonder if they are refering to the fact that they have paid a fee to use the player's names in their adds and such. I had some buddies who ran a nationwide fantasy league in several fantasy publications and after two years of success, either the NFLPA or MLBPA came after them. I forget which. They closed up shop. |
