Default need help with american league rules please

ok here is the latest we played a team tonight using american league rules. they had a left handed first basemen and a right handed third basemen. every tme a lefty came up they put thw first basemen in to pitch every time a right handed batter was up they put the third basemen in to pitch was this legal???

american legion or american league?


i think you can change players, as in move them around from position to position. the issue is taking players out of the game.

this was american league rules normanlly we play high school rules but we are out of town and we get different rules all the time i think it was legit but i did protest and i have until tommorow to either come up with 50 bucks or drop it

I'm no expert by any means, but I see nothing illegal. That's why the old Double-switch exists, to keep players in the game.

Should be nothing wrong w/ that. The incoming pitcher probably shouldn't get warm-up pitches, though.

As long as no one was replaced with a player not already in the game they can switch positions as much and often as they desire.

update we withdrew the protest and took the loss like the men we are we are 4-1 now here in cincinatti and we need to win 2 today to advance to the semis
