| OK Fenway, I'm not interested in a political debate so I'll try not to start one here. This is just why I feel this is not a good bet. First of all WHICH Democrat? I don't see a good candadate yet that will have enough backing to take out Bush. Bush lied no WMD No one cares. They didn't support the war because of WMD, it was because it became a humanitarian war to free people who were oppressed and tortured. That's why the polls shot up in support right before the war, and that why no one cares now that the weapons haven't been accounted for yet. They did not support the war because they suddenly believed there were WMD all of a sudden. Not debating the specific issue here about accountability, just pointing out that this will be a non issue for most voters IMO. American soldiers died for no reason If they keep on dying over there, that could be a big problem. Agree. 3. The economy 4. Wall street scandals...Spin could solve this problem. the economy is an inherited problem. If they can convince people that it is getting better, they'll re-elect. Just my opinions, but not a smart bet I think. |

| Not only is this a bad price to take, but it is likely that the price will go higher. Fenway is just engaging in some wishful thinking here. Even if there was some evidence that a viable candidate would emerge from the Dem primaries, there is zero value in taking the + at this point. I am suspicious that it is the Republicans who have donated so much money to Dean's candidacy, and you won't want to have a paltry +185 if it is Dean. |

| No way the dems take it, I already have bets with some of my family members laying 1-5 on this and and have taken up the bets with a few giving 5-1 that California votes Bush. Also am pretty confident that my bet with my brother under 56 Senate seats for repubs, as I don't think they will gain much. Nothing like a large family that likes to drink and wager to discuss politics and religion with. |

| even if you don't like bush; it's very difficult to find a democrat that is a credible candidate at the present time. it's very difficult to beat an incumbent president and getting approx 2-1 is hardly value let alone anything approaching a lock. unlike reno, horizon will never boot you. |

| I'm so confident Bush will win in '04 I'd do something I've never done before to get "down" on the bet. I'd make a genocide $3000 insta cash NETeller EFT on Dubya!

Just think...if you get $3000 down...the next day you'd have $1500 to play parlays with!!! |
