| Problem is, kids try to copy what they see, but I don't want any of my three kids trying to swing the golf club like he does. Furyk's swimg looks like the machine that makes the Salt Water Taffy you see at the State Fair. |

| Speaking of Tiger, he's getting a little testy, isn't he? I saw them ask him about a slump, and he snapped "I''ve won 3 of the 7(actually 8) tournaments I've entered this year; how can you ask me about a slump?" Well, excuse the f**k outta me! I thought he was measured by the number of majors he wins, he himself has stated that, and he hasn't been winning or even coming close lately, not long after holding all 4 titles. Sounds like a slump to me! |

| I went to the driving range this morning and a bunch of people were already trying to copy the big loop in the swing. I made sure to go as far left on the range as I could because this is going to lead to a lot of shanks by the average person.

| I've been doing some research and I really like Jim Furyk to do well here. He's been in the top 10, 10 times out of 14 this season, and has only missed the cut once. He has the 3rd best scoring average, 3rd best par 4 performance (which should favour him on this course), and very good accuracy from tee to green. His putting does let him down slightly, but I think the main challenge here will be negotiating the tough layout, and putting won't be of prime importance. I've taken him at $31.25 to win, but I think a top 4 finish isn't beyond him. His first round is generally very good, so if you're trading on him at all you would be best suited to taking him now, and providing he does well in R1, you will be able to close out for a reasonable profit. Good luck, utsbet. |
