Default Dimensions of the expos home in Puerto Rico

Ayone have them? I saw them on ESPN a few days ago. The park is tiny with a real short porch. Should make for a ton of HR's. The players were saying it looked like alittle league field to them. I cant seem to find it...anyone??

Funny. You could watch the same team in Montreal for $7-$10 a seat.

Best seats in the house $50 canadian MAX! You could get the best seats for $25 each if you are good negotiator with the scalpers.

And that is in Canadian dollars, meaning it is about 4-6 USD to watch an expo game and move wherever you want to, boys.. You can sit pretty close to field if you want for 4 bucks..

Also, like you said Bigdogg, for 25 Canadian, which is about 16 USD, you can have your feet up on the dugout and watching a good team too. Last year, I saw Cleveland Indians in town while having my 2 feet up on the dugout for 40 Canadian a pair off a scalper. That is 13 USD each ticket to have feet up on dugout. That is something I will miss when the Expos eventually move.. You cannot beat that price anywhere.. And parking is sooo easy. You don't have to pay for parking, you can just park one block away and walk..

Is this the same stadium that Toronto played Texas on opening day of 2001? If so, it is a very short park.

Heard a couple of the Mets on local radio, and they were talking how they expect a lot of runs in the ballpark. FYI

Cold weather is expected to be non-existent in San Juan. In fact, high scoring games are expected during the nine-game home stand because of the dimensions at Hiram Bithorn Stadium. The outfield wall is eight feet high and the dimensions are symmetrical: 315 feet down the lines; 360 to the power alleys and 398 straightaway in center field.

Those are not the dimensions manager Frank Robinson remembered when he managed Santurce in the Puerto Rican Winter League from 1968 to 1975. The stadium was much bigger in those days. But as Robinson pointed out the last several months, the Expos have the advantage because they have the last at-bat those games.

"I expect some high-scoring games. Now is every game going to be high scoring? No, not necessarily," said Robinson, who guided Santurce to two Puerto Rican titles in 1970 and 1972. "Somebody told me, 'If you can pitch, you can pitch in a telephone booth.' ... So that's the way I'm going to look at it. I'm going to look at it that our pitchers are good enough to keep the ball in the ballpark and get people out."

From what I remember about my visit to Puerto Rico is the cab drivers will rip you off if you are foreign and stupid......anyone going there, NEVER EVER give them what they tell you a ride will cost! Bargain with them, I learned the hard way.

watched the game for a while......ball flys, but......the small dimensions are mitigated somewhat by the 14000 acres of foul territory!
