Default Upsets... Let's talk UPSETS - Who's your sleeper, etc

Ok... I understand you don't want to "give away your bracket" here in front of the millions and millions of MW-ites out there...but let's talk about upsets.

Going through the bracket here are the potential upsets (by seed not spread) that I see. (#8 vs #9 is a coin-flip so I've not included)

The ones I'm contemplating are: Weber, Tulsa, Wisc-Milw, Cent mich (this one is locked in...I don't mean it's a lock...I mean I've locked it in) Colorado, and Auburn.

5)Wisconsin
12)Weber State

4)Dayton
13)Tulsa

6)Missouri
11)So Illinois

5)Notre Dame
12)Wisc-Milw

4)Illinois
13)W Kentucky

6)Creighton
11)Cent Mich

7)Memphis
10)Ariz St

5)Uconn
12)BYU

4)Stanford
13)San Diego

6)Maryland
11)NC Wilm

7)Michigan St
10)Colorado

5)Miss St
12)Butler

4)Louisville
13)Austin Peay

6)Okla St
11)Penn

7)St Joes
10)Auburn

Sleepers: Miss St.

I love Creighton against Duke- if they can get there.

I wonder about BYU beating Connecticut

Southern Illinois beating Missouri

Central Michigan CAN shoot the 3 and they are a good rebounding team against the 3.

Which is why I think you're going to see creighton bow out in round 1.

Easton,
the first game i circled was C. Mich. I think they will win outright. But I will wait on the game to bet it, I have a hunch that this line will go at least to 5 or 5.5. Everyone is in love with Creighton, personally, i think they are overated. My good friend went to the MAC tournement in Cleveland and said that C. mich is the real deal, when I get info from him he is almost always dead on. I also think that Utah catching 4.5 against Oregon has alot of value. Utah will control tempo against the Ducks. Oregon plays random defense and will not like the pace of this game

I guess the CMU secret is out.
Of course, historically, one can make good money backing MAC teams in the tournament. I only with more had been allowed in. I think Kent and Western Michigan would have been good for some upsets or at least covers.

I also like Butler.

I watched Creighton struggled with Drake for 30 minutes before they BURIED them late. It was brutal...but they should have buried them the entire game considering how poor Drake plays against the full-court trap.

Butler will not be able to match up physically with Miss. St. They will kill them on the boards and are too athletic. This team will go deep into the tournement.

lc,
penn has NO SHOT vs ok state.

they have 2 6'8" guys archibong, and onyekwe that have ZERO muscle. both of these guys would rather post up, and take the 15' jumper

ok state will drill them on the boards, and this will be an easy win for ok state.

Butler has something to prove here to the committee and to the rest of the nation. They got snubbed last year and to go out in the 1st round wouldnt be too good for them, They could use this win over MSU to boost the committee's confindence that they selected the right team, let alone the team could use the confindence also!! Just my honest opinion!!

TS,

I'll take my chances, Penn won't need to rebound (offensively), they'll be drilling 3 pointers all game long...low scoring game, Penn comes out on top...when did Okla State get guys over 6'8"? Their freshman 7'2" center barely plays so it's not like Okla State is that much taller than Penn.

A good area to look for upsets/sleepers will be the lower seeded SEC teams. Any of those teams can do some damage to a higher seed........

Miss State is a matchup not likely to favor Butler. Also, game being played in Birmingham (two hours from MSU) which is a huge edge for Miss State. Having said that, 8 points way too many points to lay in a very low scoring game. Can't wait to see the total on this one.
