![]() TradeSports.com, the revolutionary new betting exchange, asks "Who’ll come second to Tiger?" Back in the 1920s the legendary golfer Walter Hagen would arrive for a tournament, take off his expensive jacket and say: ‘Who’s going to finish second?’ When it comes to the PGA Tour money list, the same question applies. Who’ll get closest to the Tiger’s tail? On TradeSports, the revolutionary sports betting exchange, you can bet against other players on 15 candidates for the runner-up spot but – here’s the twist – you can bet against all 15 as well. Fact is that in golf, it’s a hell of a lot easier to bet on a loser than a winner. TradeSports offers you 15 bets. There’s the favorites Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, David Toms, Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia and there are more unlikely players like Jerry Kelly and Justin Leonard. The final bet in the list of 15 is called The Field and it embraces everyone else on tour. If you think Leonard stinks, then you bet against him. How? By offering other bettors the chance to bet on him. You can do one of two things. Either you offer the Leonard fans the odds they are looking for (you’ll see that in the Bet Against column opposite Leonard’s name). Or else you post the odds that you are prepared to offer against Leonard and the amount of risk you are prepared to accept. (Click here to learn more.) If Leonard-likers are sufficiently tempted by your offer, then they’ll snap it up. And that’s it – you have taken the place of the Sportsbook and got the edge. You can keep doing this for as many of the 15 as you like. Obviously the bets run for the duration of the season and players odds will rise and fall on the TradeSports exchange, depending on how much dough they’re banking. If you bet against, say, Mickelson and the demands of fatherhood send his game south, then you’ll get the chance to make some money long before the end of the year. How? By betting on him at much better odds than the ones you have offered yourself, so you have closed out your bet and made a profit. It doesn’t always work out the way you want, of course. If you bet against a player and he starts posting top-5 finishes all over the place, you may want to reconsider and close out by subsequently betting on him. Of course, you’ll have to accept inferior odds to those you have previously offered yourself – but at least the system gives you the chance to limit potential losses. You can bet on the contracts as often as you like – with any luck taking small profits here and there. They all add up! You can look at these bets in the same way you would a stock. When you think about it, buying shares is just like betting on the performance of individual golfers over the course of a season. They go up and down. “Betting On” is like buying, “Betting Against” is like Selling. Here’s a big difference though. How would you rather keep track of your portfolio – by reading the Wall Street Journal or by sitting in front of the TV with a beer, watching golf? And remember the best part of all is that you are betting against some other guy just like you which is fun and you will usually get much better odds. Discover the excitement of person-to-person sports betting, it may take you a little while to get it, but once you do, you will be glad you joined the revolution.
