Default Who is paying the $54.95

Just wondering how many of youse folks are laying out the cash for the fight tonite.

In asking a number of folks over the past couple of days, I have not found one.

I also read that despite the hype of a 'sell-out', there are many tickerts still avail for the fught itself.

I wouldn't spend 54.95 on the fight, but my dad and his buddies are, so I will crash their party and drink their beer:

Does anybody know the post time for the fight (don't even know if they have them for boxing). I have a AFL game I want to attend but want to be in home for the fight. I prepaid for the fight many years ago with a special cable box so yes in a way I am paying for the fight, LOL

Read Vacarros article in the front page- you can't put a price on this - this is pure entertainment. Even Daniel Roy Ravanaugh will watch this fight after we watch and break down the 1988 NCAA basketball championship tape.

Told my friends I would never ever purchase a heavyweight PPV fight again after the debacle between Tyson and Holyfield.

However I did purchase tonight's fight just because my (5) friends wanted to come over and watch it in the comforts of my humble abode. My guess is that they all wanted to get away from their wives and kids tonight (LOL) so they each pitched in 11 bucks and all I have to do is provide the cooler and the place and that's it.

Guys,

I grew up in the rural south. If you ever watched an episode of Andy Griffith, that was my environment growing up.

When I was 5 or 6 me and about four of my buddies from time to time that would go visit this boy that's about 16 named Crud. Crud worked at the blueberry plant and loved peanut butter sandwiches. He used to tell us that he would sometimes spit the peanut butter from this loft area into the blueberry line cause you got real good lugies with peanut butter. To this very day, when I eat blueberries and swear that I am tasting peanut butter. Anyway, my buddies and I would go see Crud cause he had this special talent.

If me and my buddies each gave him a dollar, he would go get a chicken out of his chicken coup and he would eat the whole damn chicken. He would ring its neck and eat the damn thing beak to feet - feathers, eyes. He ate the whole freakin chicken. We would watch him. We would ABSOLUTELY gross out. One time I remember I puked watching him eat this chicken.

When he got done, we would pay him money to have him do it again.

Mike and Crud probably have the same mental make up. Thirty years later, instead of costing me a buck, its costing me $54.95 to watch Crud eat a whole chicken.

Fellow posters if you are a husband and father (especially if you have young kids), I married me a good one. My wife and the kids will leave the house about 8, but she has given me the whole day off from Fatherhood. So the taxman's is having "Testosterone Saturday." My agenda with three of my buddies for the day is as follows:

1:30 - 3:30 The Nudey Bar
4:00-7:30 18 holes at a PGA golf course
8:00-1:00 Watching Boxing

It won't get much better than today.

I haven't seen him in 30+ years, but if I can find him, I will bring him to Vegas with me for the reunion. I doubt he plays golf, so during the MW golf tournament, we can have Rail witness to Crud and show him the error of his ways.

Freddie, while you're here, I got a couple of questions.

Do you book Beaver Ball???

If so, what's your limit on sides???

What's your limit on totals???

What time do the lines go up???

Do you book Nascar???

Busch races or Just Winston Cup???

To win and matchups???

When are they usually posted???

Thanks.

Go Vols,

In my old hometown, everyone steals cable. They still don't require a digital converter to receive the 10 most prominent premium channels (including 3 PPVs). You give a guy $150 bucks and you get a bootleg box that works for around 5 years, until they "zap" it (whatever that means).

I think the reason why they don't change is that all of the employees of the local cable company steal cable as well, so they are perfectly happy with the status quo.

So that is where I'm going tonight.
