Has anyone had success middling baseball totals? What is the maximum vig to pay for profitable basball middles? I'm guessing its around 10 cents for a half run and 20 cents for a full run difference. Any thoughts?

There isn't much opportunity to middle--actually side-- basball totals anymore, but plenty of scalps are available. If a player figures out how much each number--8.0, 8.5, 9.0,etc--is worth, then he will know how much total juice he can risk to still have an edge going for a side.

The incredible thing about middling baseball totals is that it's almost as hard to hit an 8, as it is to hit an NBA total of 194. Yes, of course the 194 is easier, but not that much more. Middling baseball totals is a waste of time for me. I don't even bother. Anyone that has been middling baseball totals this year has to be down money. To make money on the 8, you have to be laying 5 cents each way, and that is just the break even point. Anything better is a profit. To make money on the 9, you have to be laying 10 cents each way, and that is just the break even point. Anything better is a profit.

Sick, you're pretty much right on. What's laughable are the bookies, most of whom don't have a clue when it comes to moving totals. I someday hope to meet a BM who knows what he's doing, but I think it's a dream, kind of like meeting a hot, young, sexy chick who is astrologically compatible, is a great person, and who truly loves me.
