Default AJ. Burnett

A.J. Burnett was in midseason form for the Marlins in Sunday's spring game. Burnett struck out seven and allowed only one hit and one walk in four scoreless innings.

this kid is awesome. he would be an 18-20 game winner if he played with a contender.

however, i would be careful here, as he has picthed a ton of innings in his last couple...he is on my injury concerned list for this year, but those complete games are awfully nice to have in my league...

Burnett is an upper tier pitcher that will probably go for a mid tier pitchers price at your draft

Burnett was forced out of his start Saturday because of tightness in his right forearm. He threw 45 pitches over 2 2/3 innings before slumping over in pain and leaving the game.

A.J. Burnett will be examined by Dr. James Andrews in Atlanta on Wednesday after leaving his last spring start with tightness in his forearm.
Not good. Pitchers don't normally see Dr. Andrews due to forearm tightness.

Raisecain, could you pass along any other pitchers on your injury concerned list? Seems like you are 1 for 1 already, lol.

The Sun-Sentinel reports that Marlins manager Jeff Torborg is leaning toward placing A.J. Burnett on the DL in the hopes the pitcher will be ready to go by the second series. Burnett is scheduled to test his sore elbow by throwing on the side tomorrow.
