Default Sweat Hog Hockey-Friday

3-3 last night for a small loss, boo.

Let's do it right on Friday night:

1) Minnesota +146 at Vancouver; In my opinion Vancouver has no business being favored in this game, other than the fact that Minny played last night. Backstrom got pulled last night after allowing 2 soft goals, and should bounce back tonight against a team that he has success against. Don't forget that Minnesota is a very good road team and have Gaborik back in the lineup for the 2nd night in a row. Awesome value pick.

2) TB -187 vs Washington: I'm tempted to take the puckline for better payout, but will stick with just the win for now. TB is much better than Washington, and Washington is on game 2 of the Florida trip. Those who know me know that I almost always take the home team in a visitor's 2nd game in the State of Florida.

3) NJ -141 vs NYI: NYI looked brutal last night and could have easily beaten a lethargic Penguins team, but they also didn't show up. NHL should give some money back to the paying public who purchased tickets for that game as it was about as crappy a hockey game as I've ever seen in my life, and I lived through the Harold Ballard's Maple Leafs years, so I know crappy hockey all-to-well. Brodeur going for number 500 should easily get it tonight, and rumor has it that NYI may start Doobie and his stellar 0.836 save % tonight...let's hope so.

4) Montreal -116 at Buffalo: One of the dominate matchups lately as Montreal has taken 5 of the last 6 Head to Head. Watch the Habs carefully over the next few weeks though, as it is mid-November and they are due for their annual collapse any time now.

5) Colorado/Dallas Over 5.5: Over is 11-2 in the last 13 meetings in Dallas

6) Minny/Vancouver Under 5: 2 great goalies, 2 not-so-great offenses

7) Columbus/StLouis Under 5: Leclaire has back-to-back shutouts vs StLouis, hoping for another or close to it.
