| I think it was Jackyl who noted the other day that the straight up winner had covered every game so far in the WNBA. That's still true. So, the standings also tell you the ATS record of every team. Figured I'd cut and paste the data in here since the standings are currently doing double duty! Eastern Conference Indiana 4 1 Connecticut 2 1 Detroit 2 1 Washington 2 1 Charlotte 1 2 Chicago 1 3 New York 0 3 Western Conference Houston 3 1 Sacramento 3 1 Los Angeles 3 2 San Antonio 2 2 Seattle 2 2 Minnesota 1 3 Phoenix 0 3 Yzer, what do you think of putting together power ratings? Are those something you use...or do you just look at the matchups. I can' probably deduce some retro-fitted ones from the recent lines later today...then we can update as need be. Worth a shot? Quick notes on the standings...New York and Phoenix are much worse than the oddsmakers seem to realize. They're not really getting close to their spreads. Even though everyone knows NY is horrible, they're still getting routed by monster margins. Last year the lines never caught up to Sacramento and Connecticut. I think they were about 67% to cover when not playing each other (something like 48-24...I wrote it up somewhere but can't remember where). Interesting that both have continued to cover out of the gate this year. I've been reading Chicago's boxscores just to see what Stacy Dales-Schuman was all about. Based on what's happened so far...she should have stayed with ESPN. Probably a bit rusty... |
