I love the Zig Zag theory, I know its not even golden anymore, but I still try to pick some spots with it.

Looking to play Denver tonight with a big bet.

What do you guys think about New Jersey in the first quarter and first half...since the motivation of the bounce back should be there right out of the gate? Or...the possibilities of a letdown from Indiana on the other end.

Home teams are 8-2 ATS so far against the first half lines. New Jersey was the only team that LOST the first half outright. Detroit won by 6 as a 7-point first half favorite for the other ATS loss. Otherwise, it's been the host by a bunch.

Home team first half margins from high to low:
-4, 6, 8, 9, 9 11, 12, 14, 22, 34

Nets -4 would see affordable against that lineup...considering they should be a home team with emotion.

I'm less excited about Washington because I hate their defense...or Sacramento because Artest is out. But...the dynamics of the zig zag do favor those dogs as well.

I like NJ straight up. In the stat most likely to dissapear catergory I think you mentioned Carters performance among other things.
I think they do come out focused with a better defensive effort which will last thru the game.

I dont blame you on Wash but young teams off big wins who bask in the glow a lot of times come out flat the next game because they have relaxed and thinks its that easy. By the time Clevland wakes up it could be halftime or game 3 if there not careful. Fan pressure to repeat stealler performance is huge on James and the Cavs. If Wash is smart they will go old school and not make things so easy for Mr lebron James tonite.

Pass SA/Sac.

SB...are you saying you want to lay 380 with the Nets to win straight up? They're a 7 to 7.5 point favorite tonight. You think they win this game 80% of the time?

I don't know if I'd go that far...even with the intangibles...

Tonite yes I would. Perfect example of a new math way to look at things. Its sinking in slowly but surely.
I did lay the 7.5 for a small bet. Moneyline not a consideration at that price.

Looks like everyone's happy with the Nets result:
First quarter: Nets 26-22
First half: Nets 44-36
Game: Nets 90-75

We did see the emotions from the outset...but it ended up not really mattering because any attempt to take the Nets would have worked out. The advantage to the earlier props is that it lets you turn over bankroll quicker if you want to reinvest winnings in late basketball or late baseball.

Congrats to everyone on the Nets...

We've got THREE possibilities for Wednesday night.

Note that neither of the two Monday games saw the zig zag work out (one pushed)...but all three of Tuesday's games did.

If you're thinking about the tri-fecta here (1Q, 1H, and game)

1Q's: 2-3
1H's: 3-2
Games: 3-1-1

That's 8-6-1...which is worse percentage-wise than 3-1-1 obviously. The trifecta did go 3-0 when the SUPERIOR tEAM that was in a bounce back...New Jersey over Indiana. So....it's 5-6-1 with the inferior team and 3-0 with the superior team.

Tonight's bounce-back nominees would obviously be Milwaukee (+) over Detroit, Memphis (+) over Dallas, and the Lakers (+) over Phoenix.

Good luck to all in tonight's NBA action!

I think its kinda obvious that the zig zag works best when you take the superior team.
Its like if Tyson (in his prime) whopped a guy, you think that guy has a chance the second time they meet.
But if that guy were to sneak in a lucky punch, that would make Tyson pissed off and more focused and then look out........

San Antonio fits so it a take but it feels like cheating as this will be a no contest game I feel. Best Spurs performance to date coming up.
