 would any of these mlb systems show a profit long term? They all involve beting the second game of a double header. 1 bet on the team that lost game 1. 2 bet on the team that lost game 1 but they must be a home team 3 bet on the team that won game 1  |

| It's not inconceivable that one of these might show a historical profit, but only because of the small sample size, i.e., there aren't enough doubleheaders to get a meaningful number of trials. Regardless, there's certainly no plausible rationale behind any of these systems IMHO.

| i had heard from some old timers that the reasoning is 2fold: team that won gm1, is more likely to rest some players under the right conditions and the team, preferably home, that lost game is more motivated -- likewise the team that won, has a bit of an emotional letdown not sure they statistically valid, but those were two reasons i had heard of in the past |

| I like betting over if the first was under and that holds for back to back games in the NHL and NBA too.

| Don't know, but I do know you need a few hundred examples to make a REAL AND TRUTHFUL decision on any stat. question..... I don't know why, when I find out I'll be rich, but I lose at MLB in the long run............. GottaWinToday |

| I do ok long term but the way i cap games is time consuming and if i could find a simple system to take some of the burden away i would be happy |

| Yes you can win long term!!!! I know what you mean buddy, winning long term is almost impossible. I've been betting 20 years and finally refind a system to win,win,win. However I'm not about to let the world in on it. That said if you want to send me a private message with an e-mail adress or a phone number and I'll be happy to explain it to you. For the record I started this system 3 months ago and I'm up $3400.  |
