Default Anybody Plan on Buying that $3,000 Scooter?

Funny thing is that when they talked about "it" last year, they stated it would change the world (biggest thing since the Internet many said). Apparently the inventor is the Edison of the 21st century.

I don't know about you but I'm pretty disappointed.

Hartley

Must apologise, I completely had my wires crossed on the scooter discussion, but woke up today and saw them on the news, wierd things, quite funky but hardly earth shattering.

I too was disappointed, because it was alleged that this new invention would change the future infrastructure of cities. I think it'll sell quite well and will catch on around the world, but this is just a gimmick, definitely no turning-point in the history of transportation.

Well I work about 20 km from where I live. At 17 km/h that means I could be to work in an hour. Of course it provides great protection from the elements too.

A regular scooter has no gyro's. This new thing has many, I understand, so the axle can be east and west under you and like magic you will not fall. Hey, give me a scooter north and south with no gyro's, I'll be the gyro, and IT WILL BE A LOT CHEAPER THAT THREE GRAND......AND GO LIKE HELL.......

What if the gyros malfunction and someone falls forward flat on their face? Airbag needed?

How do you scooterpool? Does everyone have to have their own scooter to get around? And what if you want to tow your boat? Is there a scooterboat?
