iowa, instead of smelling garbage, and a million people's foul habits, you would get fresh country air, good people on the most part. strip joints, boats, and high taxs.all and all not a bad place. imo.

Fish, come on over to Vancouver BC. Friendly city, great views, safe and low key (not much of a night life) best of all you can become a Canadian!

I know......turning CANADIEN sounds like a real plus. No taxes, great health care, sports betting, scenery, etc.etc.

IOWA ....sounds like a great place too. Good people, lowcrime, Hawkeyes, gambling everywhere.

How about FLORIDA,OXFORD MS.,

I think those are 4 possiblities......CANADA,IOWA,OXFORD,FLORIDA

No Taxes!!!!, do not come here if you think we have no taxes. Athletes don't want to play in Canada because of taxes!
There are four season in the year, you can spend one season in each of the places you mentioned!

Milwaukee Wis. and take me back with you.
We'll hit every casino along the way. I did that when I moved out here.

el tiburon is right.

Vancouver cannot be rivaled during the
May to Sept.time frame.Been all around this
planet and it does'nt get any better.

Downside:
Nov to Mar..mild but rainy..ever been to a place that can go 2 months with a half a dozen sunny days? Happens here.

Next to LV..the prettiest women per capita
in n.america.

great restaurants and now a new business friendly prov.government

taxes brutal.currency weak..asian drivers
plentiful and BAD.

I know the feeling, Fish.

I spent 7 years in Vegas, then decided I had enough.

It really doesn't matter where you go. For at least a year or two, you won't mind things like snow, or state taxes (if they're not too high; stay out of NY, CA, and my home "Tax-achusetts").

If you're not a Vegas native (and who is?), go back to where you came from. All the things you hated, that made you leave, won't seem as bad when you're back with your family and friends.

Florida has a lot of advantages, Fish. No state tax is one of them. If you like to play golf year round and enjoy outdoor sports, like fishing, water skiing, etc., then the weather here is definitely a plus. Going barefoot and wearing shorts and t-shirts almost year round is also a plus in my book.

Each part of the state is conducive to a different lifestyle, so you have quite a choice to match with your preferences.

Stay out of Cal? C'mon Bobby! Pound for Pound, The Best Damn weather in the world! Yeah it has it's shortcomings no doubt about that. But there are more than enough AWESOME places to live in this state that make the downside worth it. Just ask KOTS as he lounges away there in Northern Tijuana Real Estate sure is hefty here but if you shop you can find a decent deal.

Depends what your priorities are Fish. There's a ton of great places to live all across the U.S. One man's shithole is another's palace.

If I could "take my job with me" I would personally move back to a small town (not too small!) in New England. Good honest people, the full change of seasons weather wise, access to the beach/ocean, and still fairly affordable in many places. I like SoCal, but I know that would be a better place to raise my kids.

Like I said, depends what your priorities are Fish. Raising Kids? Weather? City? Suburb? Night-life? You gotta add a little more input to get a better answer, bro!

Take care,
cjd

Fish, I put my reply to where to live in the buffet post of yours. I said the best place is the redneck riviera of Florida. Chek out the details in that post. Sorry, but I type one word a minute so I won't retype it here.
