If you have shoes that are a little too tight--- It's not that I am that big a cheapskate, but doesn't this happen to everyone at one time or another? You have nice shoes or boots that are just a little too small.. This even works with sandals, and non-leather products to a certain extent. (I just did my husband's snowboots and he thinks I am a domestic goddess now)
Take one of those heavy-duty ziplock baggies amd fit it inside the shoe taking care to get it well into the toe, fit along the sole and on back to the heel. Carefully fill it with water. (It doesn't hurt to get a cup or 2 of water in there and stick your hand in to spread the bag inside the toe as best you can) Not necessarily FULL full, just use common sense. Zip-lock the bag and put the whole thing in the freezer. Not sure if it matters, but if it's a toe pinch I'd set it toe down to be sure the toe part stays good and full. When it freezes, of course, the ice expands. I usually just leave them overnight but have forgotten some in the deepfreeze in the past, with no damage done. You might have to thaw it a little to slide the footburg out.
