ytd 18-6-1 took a couple days off from posting, back with a nice card tonight Detroit -4 over Washington Detroit is going to be out for blood tonight.. They haven't played since the 18th and they're coming off 3 straight road L's.. Detroit like it at home where they are 4-1 SU with their only loss coming to the Storm. Although the Mystics have won their last 2 they are a very road weary team as they are 1-3 with their only win coming against the pathetic Charlotte Sting. I expect Detroit to be fired up and handle the Mystics tonight with a double digit win... Deanna Nolan has to go off for 25+ tonight against the poor Mystics "Defense". Connecticut +2.5 over Sacramento Any time I get the best team in the league with points, I'll take it.. Big bounce back game for the Sun tonight.. I know Sacramento hasn't played for a whole week and will be rested, but the better team wins tonight in what will prove to be the best game of the night. Also leaning on Seattle but probably won't pull the trigger. good luck

Best of luck Yzer. I'm on Detroit with you (the line drop and 0-3 ATS last 3 games sold me). But I'm on Sac -2. I think they have an outstanding homecourt edge and that will make the difference between these two solid teams.

what a fantastic 1st H by detroit.. 10 of 19 from the Free throw line and shooting a wonderful 36%.. only good thing is they're only down 11 and not 30

GL2N even though I strongly disagree with you on Connecticut. I have them as the 3rd best team in the league behind Seattle & Sacramento. I'd make Sacramento -5 in this spot. Unlike the Sun, they can play defense & shut teams down.

very nice 2nd H by Connecticut saves me from the detroit debacle IMO this Connecticut team is by far the class of the league.. only team that can touch them is Seattle and at home I can't see Connecticut losing to anyone.. way too many offensive weapons hell they only shot 36% tonight but they made their free throws and they actually showed a little D tonight holding Sac to 50 points coming away with an 11 point win. 6/24 1-1 ytd 19-7-1

FWIW I have Conn ahead of everyone by 1.5 points only 3 other teams I would be making a fav at home against them. Heres my ratings after last nights games. Note I avent adjusted Seattle for having bird back. The ratings will catch up soon enough I think. Connecticut 4.94 Sacramento 3.38 Los Angeles 2.94 Seattle 2.25 New York 1.63 Washington 1.59 Minnesota 1.58 Detroit 0.90 Indiana 0.87 Houston 0.25 Phoenix -1.95 San Antonio -2.47 Charlotte -2.82 To make lines find the difference and give the home team an extra 3 points. FInally just to contradict myself THink there is some value today on Phoenix. If I can get 3.5 is a play for sure, if I can only get the 3, its a maybe. Conn playing their 3rd game in four which I have penalised with 2.5 points. Dingle

Dingle my ratings look almost exactly like that.. only difference is I have Sacramento rated 4th behind Conn, Seattle & LA in that order.. coming into this season I thought Sacramento would be a suprise team but after their start IMO the line makers are giving them too much credit- especially at home. btw Phoenix is +4.5 at wsex as I type this

Nice job Dingle. Quick note...don't be afraid to give a beter home court (like SAC or LA) 4 points instead of three when making your line. Phoenix might be worth a shot today. For all the reasons you mentioned, plus Conn should ripe off a big win over Sac last night, and they are now coming in to play a Phoenix team that has lost it's last 3. Possible overlook crunch spot. But I'm not sure how strong. Personally, I knew where that line was headed (I made Conn -4 1/2 to -5 for the game) and I'm sitting on a nice amount of Conn -3 for middling purposes. I may stay a bit heavier on the Phoenix side though, be it +5 or + 5 1/2.

I have to respectfully disagree about the Sun's D holding Sacramento to 50 points. Sacramento has a tendency to go into funks & miss anything they throw up which is what happened against the Sun. They had the game in control & went into a funk. Sacramento actually played a typical game, shutting down a high powered O with solid defense but letting their own shooting get them down. If they ever can shoot consistent which I think they will before the end of this season, they will be tough to beat in the playoffs.
