| agree with all, but a word of caution on NC State +3: ncsu kicker austin herbert continues to be hobbled by a swolen ankle (the lack of kicking contributed to the loss to unc). he may play today but look for walk-on adam kiker to do the pk with olin hannum or casey dimeo punting. and while the pack (who has made a living on special teams play on both sides of the ball) has problems, clemson returns brian mance from his sprained knee at georgia tech... he averages 28.2 yards on kickoffs and 14.4 on punt returns... in death valley last year state went vertical (something we have yet to do this year) with rivers connecting with koren robinson for a 63 yard td; with bryan peterson for a 52 yard td; and, with ray robinson on an 81 yard td pass. dantzler had 418 yards in offense (running for two scores and passing for two) against georgia tech. is the wolfpack's newly found defensive speed enough to contain the dual threat at qb? we'll see what offensive trickery our new o-coordinator will come up with... because, state MUST put points on the scoreboard in quantities we have yet to see in '01... the special teams should be good for at least one blocked punt... sure hope the vertical game shows up... will not be in my seat today (will not fight the state fair traffic at game time)... it's on tv!!! +3 is not the line i envisioned, and have chosen to pass on this one... +9 i would have jumped on... gl, -jim

| 2 plays today, will update record later: TCU (-10) 5 units Tulane blows dog. In addition to that, they blow cat by starting 7 freshmen on defense. Arkansas/South Carolina Under (37) 5 units It has been raining for 2 days, and the forecast for gametime rain is right about 100%. Besides that, these are two staunch defenses. 2 unit parlay on the two plays above for 5.2 units. |
