RB, you ain't picking the Chargers (Flutie) and I ain't picking the Colts (Manning)????? Something just isn't right about that. BTW, RB, you and I may be the only one taking our man for a ride with College Bases. Go Vols, taxman

not a chance!! everything fell into place for them last year. they need to stay healthy, which they probably won't. plus everybody is out to get them this year. they were a very good team last year, not a great team who will dominate.

If they keep their hunger, they will be extremely tuff to beat. They kept their entire starting D intact, with the exception of Herring, and their Offense will be DRASTICALLY improved with a real QB like Elvis instead of the jokes of last year, the addition of Searcy, another year of Experience with Jamal Lewis, and return to heath of WR Taylor. Billick is one of, if not the, best Offensive mind in the game, and this year he'll be able to show it. It all depends on their Hunger and intensity, because talentwise they have upgraded big time.

Surely the charger comment was a joke. lmao. No way the Ravens Repeat, Many reasons 1. Tougher schedule. They are playing the superbowl Champ schedule this year. 2. Weaker Defense. Losses In defensive team. 3. Tougher League. There was really no power last year. The rams banged up, left the field wide open. 4. Still not a very good offense. 5. Opponents will not take them lightly this year. I think a lot of playoff competition was looking ahead to next round. 6. They wont be as lucky. They just plainly got a lot of breaks and had no key injuries, everything wont fall their way this year. No Way They Repeat. As the season nears, the "lifelong" Ravens fans will come out of the closet, you know the fans who are always "lifelong" fans of the most recent superbowl champions.

"No way the Ravens Repeat, Many reasons 1. Tougher schedule. They are playing the superbowl Champ schedule this year." Not True. They play the AFC Central 2nd place Schedule. Tenn won the Division "2. Weaker Defense. Losses In defensive team." Only Lost Kim Herring as a starter, and a reserve DE. They kept the defense intact. Hunger is the only question, Not personel losses. "3. Tougher League. There was really no power last year. The rams banged up, left the field wide open." True, but they are the Class of the AFC. "4. Still not a very good offense." Wrong, Immensley improved Offense, simply because they have a top notch QB, a stud RB in his second year, the return of WR Taylor, and Billick will be able to actually play Real Offense this year, instead of Prevent Offense. "5. Opponents will not take them lightly this year. I think a lot of playoff competition was looking ahead to next round." True, EXCEPT for the Playoff comment. All Teams in the Playoffs knew how good the Ravens were, but except for Tenn, it didn't matter. "6. They wont be as lucky. They just plainly got a lot of breaks and had no key injuries, everything wont fall their way this year. No Way They Repeat. As the season nears, the "lifelong" Ravens fans will come out of the closet, you know the fans who are always "lifelong" fans of the most recent superbowl champions." Maybe. I was a "Fan" last year because I held a 50-1 Ticket. This year, objectively they are the AFC Team to Beat, as Jax, Tenn are weaker. Only Denver improved of the Good Teams.

No they are not the class of the AFC. Better Afc Teams Colts Raiders Broncos Titans and a few more close Also, No the playoff teams did not know how good they were. Noone gave them a chance until they made it too the superbowl. They were a huge underdog both against the titans and raiders. And the majority of gamblers I saw were saying lay the points. As soon as the won the superbowl though, everyone had them picked from early on. It is always that way. If the Browns win the superbowl this year i can assure you 2 things. 1. Everyone will claim to have called it before season, holding 200-1 ticket. 2. Next year They will be the team. This Raven Team will struggle to go 8-8.

And I agree they were 2nd place finishers to Tennessee, but playoff results are also figured in. They have at least as tough a schedule as Tennessee, in my opinion the Ravens is Tougher. Out of division games Chicago Minnesota at Denver at Green Bay Indianapolis at Tampa Bay 3-3 out of division at best. This Raven team will fall back to an average team just as fast as the 96-97 packers did. And their bandwagon fans will jump off just as fast as the Packers bandwagoners did.

Sorry as I look into the crystal ball,no repeat for the birds. If they even make the playoffs they will be out after round 1. I know I say this ever year but watch out for those snicky buccs.I feel they made the right choices in getting qb's in the off season.they have a good oline to protect johnson and a dfense to keep them in any game! but I am a buccs fan so I can always dream.

I agree with the guesser, in fact, I think the Ravens will be clearly the best team in the AFC. If this team had the greatest offense ever instead of the greatest defense, no one would even be questioning them. I don't see a huge drop off in the defense - only losing Herring, meanwhile they have significantly improved at QB and added Searcy for the OL. I think they have an outside shot at going undefeated and would like to see a prop on it. Last game of the season at TB looks like the toughest test and I predict it will be their only loss. Bal over St. Louis in the Super Bowl.
