Posting record 16-16 -2.06 units.

Firstly, Alec , 1.73 on Kuerten in the final last week was available at Ladbrokes.
Good price but not good enough, Ferrero was terrific.

Now looking at tonight.

Rios v Gambill

Rios like Boris said is a complete wanker but has plenty of talent on court, the moment i heard of his arrest i smiled as i thought bookies would offer terrifc value in his upcoming matches, and i'm absolutely livid with myself for not taking him to beat an inconsistent Moya at the 2/1 available.

However still see plenty of value in taking $1.50 against Gambill, whoi's claycourt form has been woeful and his overall form not much better. Gambill has close to a chronic back condition and how he wakes up in the morning is often critical to his chances, i expect Rios to get on a roll now, and he 'll win here.

Corretja v Lapentti

Underestimated both of these guys last week, buit not making the same mistake with Corretja this time around. Lapentti rarely mixes up his game and Corretja will enjoy the long rallies and come through.

Ferrero v Levy

Despite his quarter-final run last week, i refuse to believe Levy is suited on clay, Ferrero to breeze through.

Arazi v Haas

Haas has a so-so record in Germany and on clay, Arazi can fire up at anytime and certainly did in Monte Carlo not long ago, he will appreciate Haas' attacking style as he loves to counter punch.

Ilie v Burgsmuller

Hate backing Ilie, but he is clearly superior her against an ordinary opponent, Burgsmuller came to play against Henman, history suggests he'll struggle to repeat that today.

Safin v Gaudio

Gaudio is an enormous talent, but like his countryman Calleri is not very smart tactically. Safin has been working hard of late, and he is over his arm injury, it's time he makes his presence felt just before Roland Garros.

2 units Rios @1.50
2 units Corretja @1.50
1 unit Arazi @2.37
1 unit Ilie @1.55
2 units Safin @1.55

1 unit Ferrero/Rios @1.92
1 unit Ferrero/Corretja @1.92
1 unit Ferrero/Safin @1.98

jetman,

Thanks. I know that Ladbrokes started offering tennis, but don't check their odds. It looks like they offer some very different odds.

Oz, i'm pretty sure you would have read the threads concerning DAS , canbet and Sportsbetting in Australia in general, that were around last week, i believe the answer to your question was quite clearly spelled out there.

wouldn't call golf action packed crash and bang excitement, either, really

There are a few fond Terry Alderman wizardy memories though.

2-6 -7.08 units

mmm, a bit of work to do.

Costa v Escude

More of a play against Escude then anything else,do not believe he is suited here against a true claycourter who will attempt to keep him well behind the baseline, which will really increase the margin for error on the Frenchman's flat groundstrokes , his patience too is sure to wear thin, this will probably go the distance but like the Spaniard to emerge.

3 units @1.67

Oz, DAS won't be covering the England v Pakistan series.

Hope you're on the draw, the Indian weather report suggests rain.

Indian bookies were backing the draw at $2.10 or better today,so the Draw would have been possibly close to odds-on in India.

so why didn't they take it in england, where it was 2.75 at most of the books

anyway, if it doesn't rain in the next four days(well it is england)...they will make the time up

But the Indians do like betting on the draw

3-6 -5.08 units

Costa v Santoro

Sticking with Costa who only conceeded three games yesterday, Santoro's for very good as well this week, but happy to oppose him, on the basis that he has always truggled to finish tournaments off throughout his career, and most inportantly believe his "awkward" style has now been worked out bty most opponents and largely neutralised.

2 units Costa @1.60
