Congrats, Pickn, you are having a great season. I have no intentions of maintaining any sort of flamewar here, but I stand by my assertion that the results of a handful of plate appearances by a certain player or team vs. a particular pitcher are utterly lacking in predictive value. In the "Don't be a square, take Atlanta tonight" thread, you relied on this stat: "Franco, DeRosa, Furcal, Jones, and Giles ( 6 hits out of 26 @bats vs Willis )" 26 at bats do not have predictive value for one player, let alone five. Check out the "Don't be a square, take Atlanta tonight" thread for a discussion of this between Stevo and I.

I have no intentions of any sort of flamewar either. I let my record speak for itself. I have been capping games for 24 years now and I was just trying to say that these # do mean something to me. Every capper capps game differently and I have been successful doing it my way. Thats all !!! Just to let you know I have no hard feelings towards you in any way and I wish you a very successful season.

Back at you, Pickn. Good luck. The irony here is that, while I have been harping on about sample size, you have clearly been capping long enough to have constituted a sample large enough to warrant reliance
