| Jake's Quick Game Thoughts: Philadelphia/St. Louis OVER 9.5 +124 Pitchers: Lidle/Mulder Lidle is an average pitcher going against an above average lineup. Mulder is a pitcher that is going to have a down year and Philly can knock him out of the game before 5. Both offenses are better than the opposing pitchers, and I can't turn down that +124. New York M/Atlanta UNDER 9 +110 Pitchers: Zambrono/Thomson The Mets are hitting well but Thomson is a solid pitcher and I like him pitching at home. Zambrono can pitch as well and the Braves really aren't hitting much right now. Just like the above bet, the +110 on a total i had a lean on is too much to turn down. Arizona -105 Pitchers: Dessens/Estes Estes is an average pitcher going against an average lineup. Dessens is a crap pitcher going against an above average lineup. Arizona is also at home. Nuff said. Boston -1.5 +121 Boston/Toronto Under 10 +106 Pitchers: Arroyo/Bush Neither team is hitting that well, but Arroyo has a good chance to shut down the Blue Jays, and I don't think Bush can do that to the Red Sox. This one looks like 6-1 Boston. Oakland/Tampa Bay UNDER 9.5 +113 Rare 2 Unit Play Pitchers: Blanton/Bell What a freakin line!! Blanton and Bell and somewhat risky, but both have shown flashes of talent and are going against teams that are not that great of hitting teams. TB is not hitting at all right now against some hittable pitchers, and Bell is good enough to limit teams to 3 runs over 6. He doesn't dominate but he does pitch reliably. This line baffles me. Texas/Seattle UNDER 9.5 -106 Pitchers: Park/Sele Seattle is just about the only team that Park has done well against, and he's done extremely well pitching in Safeco. I've questioned Seattle's hitting all summer and think they are a little bit overrated. Sele is another solid pitcher who can pitch well against Texas. At home, he has a good chance to do well against a Texas team that did not hit worse pitchers in the series at Anaheim. |

| Philadelphia/St. Louis OVER 9.5 +124 (W) Pitchers: Lidle/Mulder New York M/Atlanta UNDER 9 +110 W Pitchers: Zambrono/Thomson Arizona -105 1-0 Zona lead in 4th Pitchers: Dessens/Estes Boston -1.5 +121 L Boston/Toronto Under 10 +106 L Pitchers: Arroyo/Bush I can't believe Foulke. Everything was perfect going into the ninth with a 6-3 Boston lead and Foulke gives up 2 runs on 3 straight hits to lose both bets for me. These closers are brutal. Oakland/Tampa Bay UNDER 9.5 +113 BIG W Rare 2 Unit Play Pitchers: Blanton/Bell Texas/Seattle UNDER 9.5 -106 2 runs in the 2nd Pitchers: Park/Sele 3-2 so far with the 2 unit play hitting. 2-0 on 2 unit plays. 2 pending. |
