Default Wie getting disqualified

What are your views on Wie getting disqualified. I thought it was pretty rough so far after the event had finished.

Obviously I don't think it is right to encourage foul play or cheating but there should be a cut off point after which the result is final. Subsequent discoveries of foul play could be dealt with by fines etc.

On the lighter side what a great addition (of legs) Wie is to the LPGA tour.

Golf rules can be ridiculous. Same with the DQ of Kevin Stadler. You don't see other sports change the final results because of blown calls, etc.

They are just trying to keep golf, a gentleman's game. Keep your own score, call your own penalties and so forth. The disqualifacation of Wie was and is out of bounds, I thought. I agree, a point of no return time limit is needed. What we don't need, are jackasses studying TV tape, looking for infractions that have no impact on the tournament. Let the golfers do it, they can handle it.

And BTW, Jack was wrong. That hole should have been forfieted at the cup.
