Default WGC-Amex

Anyone else watching or betting? Real nice course out there. Great too see them hosting this.

Real nice leaderboard. Picked up JD at 4 earlier. His putting seems to be coming around. Star studded leaderboard

I have a little action on this one. I took DiMarco, a value play I thought, but it's a goner already. The previous three weeks have been great for me and I'm making a decent comeback.

Last week I had Bohn at 61-1, lost, but it was exciting to watch. My m/u's have been on fire, 6-1 last week.

I've played Harding a lot, 40 years ago, when I was doing the junior curcuit. One of my favorite places to play. I played a round with Tony Lema there, he gave me 3 shots a side and I won 10 bucks off him.

At halfway - I like the way Garcia and Appleby are playing at 14/1 and 40/1 respectively. Monty at 8/1 would be value but hard to believe he will have his first PGA win at 42. I will be rooting for him but don't think so - 8/1 is value I guess for the leader and is striking the ball beautifully and had a confidence booster last week.

Tiger at 9/4 is not value with his waywardness at the moment. ABC should hang their heads in shame 2.5 hours coverage for this field on a saturday. Guess a bunch of college footballers most of which don't make the pros is more important.

Bought more JD earlier at 4. He is right there. Just tied for the lead. He has the short stick going. He knows how to win tourneys. Think he wins

I still like the way Monty, Garcia & Appleby are playing. Appleby has got to hole some putts sooner or later. Biggest payday is Garcia, then Appleby with Monty recording a small profit.

Daly is normally strong in these positions so he'd have to the fav though the books are sure to have Tiger about 2/1.

GL Alysheeba - sounds like you have a very good position there.

I have a position in Sergio too, although not nearly as big as in JD.

Sergio is striking it great. If he can just putt mediocre he will be right there. Appleby is an enigma. Have been on him several times this year but have thrown up my hands of late and stayed away (so watch him win, lol). Has so much talent but not sure he has it between the ears.

Tiger is Tiger cant count him out ever, but something looks amisss again with his swing. Been very impressed by Monty.

I am counting on JD's closing ability. He finds a way to close the deal when he has the chance more often than not. I know its been 19 months between wins, but he has usually been playing from behind. And his putting has been so bad this year, which is unlike him. For the first time in a while he looks comfortable with the short stick. This course sets up great for him with the driveable par 4's.

GL everyone

Spoke too soon - he come's Tiger.

Wow, what a chip by JD. God he needed that (to say nothing of me, lol).

Gotta give the Devil his due, that would be Tiger. He is so tenacious. Big par putt coming up. If he misses JD has a two shot lead

Monty and Sergio cannot putt. JD is closing this deal - wp Aly.

Unbelievable. Tiger does it to me again.

Bought some when he was at 20 to be safe, won a little on the tourney. Would have won a bunch if JD won.

Tiger has burned me so many times its not funny.

JD threw it away at 17. I had an awful feeling about that putt in the playoff he missed. Another brutal defeat.

Aly - I had Tiger to break even at the turn so I guess I was rooting against you but Monty really upset me. He was playing the best golf out there but he didn't want to win. How many putts did he miss?

If JD was painful so was Monty in the pathetic way he putted. To have the best GIR by far and to have the worst putting amongst the top 10 or 20 even worse than the likes of VJ and Sergio is obcene.

Another classic in terms of entertainment but non the richer for all the fun.

Aly - sorry to bring this up but Monty's performance is a classical example of what i define as choking. He got near the lead, played really well but didn't convert short putts that would have got him to the lead but nails a 12 footer when it doesn't matter and once he realises he has a chance on the 18th he misses the fairway - the stat he'd been #1 on all week just to make sure he can't win.

I really believe psychologically these types of players deep down have a block that makes them do whatever it takes not to cross the winning line. My opinion only but i thought I'd share it as most of the viewers would have thought Monty played really well but was just a bit off with the putter.
