match play golf
pressed for time this week
opening round tomorrow
lonard over mediate -16 1 unit pinnacle
mediated has missed 3 straight cuts and from what i have heard still has an injury problem
verplank -34 over estes 1 unit
going with hot hand and verplank makes a ton of birdies
choi -08 over cink 1 unit
choi is a better player than cink at least i think so
tourney 9-11-1 -4.3 units
daily 6-7-1 +1.1575
Nick Price @ 120-1 to win and 30-1 to win his bracket
Good matchplay player
probably has the easiest bracket
"you are one sharp son of a bitch" - Yzerman #19 (11/15/2005)
As you guys haven't mentioned these matches, I wondered what you thought of my picks:
Herron over the Chad +126 - Although a chad fan he's not been doing it for me this season and Herron is hitting the ball well - too big a price over 18 holes.
Clarke over Romero -150 - Clarke is a different class completely to Romero - knicking money as they say in England!
Flesch over Faxon -127 - Flesch is a decent player -& Faxon's out of form.
Sluman over Perry +137.5 - probably the biggest rick in the prices - Sluman should be close to Perry in price the way they have been playing to date this season.
Buzz - Of the ones suggested Lonard over Mediate but can't get that price, Tway over Couples as can't stand Couples but not a Tway fan either. Wouldn't do Jacobsen over Price as Price is very under rated and a tough cookie. +360 Rollins is a bad price +430 at Betfair - no professional in the top 70 should be that price in a 2 horse race over 18 holes.
Outright on such a long course I think Clarke is a danger to one and all +4900 @ Betfair seems way too big. With the way the draw is he surely gets to the last 8 by which time you can lay off at a handsome profit. Clarke will be no bigger than +2500 after beating Romero, then Leonard/Cejka should be easy on this course, followed by Flesch and possibly VJ in the quarters though I think he may get knocked out early as he looks a tired player of late.
Thought Rollins was going to steal it today, it's a shame he choked on the back 9, as he had multiple chances to bury Tiger but couldn't...any ideas for the rest of the tournament? Nice job on the perfect day CR.
i am still staggered by the <choke> of verplank
looked like me after a few night out over that 3 footer
today i played
jacobsen over bjorn + 15 1/2 unit
cejka over clarke +25 1/2 unit
flesh over perry +25 1/2 unit
lonard -06 huston 1 unit
cink over monty -20 1 unit
Monty over Cink +114, Bjorn over Jacobsen -113 and am hoping that Darren picks up his game against Cejka but this is more heart than judgement. If Duffy manages to win in the morning, I'd oppose him heavily for the afternoon match due to lack of fitness and having to lug around the extra pounds around his gut - 36 holes on a long and wet course will surely take their toll.
