Default Drinkin' Booz Allen Classic

Don't like the lack of consistent input from Congressional record so taking it very easy this week before the usual HUGE Open week with its humongous props and opps:
DiMarco+100ovCink .5 unit
Pampling-110ovClark .55 unit

Back at Congressional this week has a star studed field. Not sure how the course will be set up but its pretty long and driving distance, accuracy and hitting greens are going to be key areas for me. Looking at these factors I came up with a short list of:

1 - VJ
2 - Els
3 - Furyk
4 - Garcia
5 - Glover
6 - Mayfair
7 - O Browne

VJ and Els are too short in the betting for their form so I've dismissed them. Furyk is no better than Garcia and is half the odds so he is dismissed on similar grounds leaving my plays for the week:

Garcia - 3 pts @ 33/1
Mayfair - 1 pt @ 113/1
Browne - 1/2 pt @ 200/1
Glover 1/2 pt @ 113/1

Think Garcia is very solid for this week and will be looking for match ups as well. Probably against the likes of Scott etc. Surprised K Perry isn't playing this week as I would have thought he would have had a great chance.

Alysheeba - Amazing how you came up with Sergio as well and Glover for one of your longshots. A sixth sense is telling me Ernie is too good a player to be 11/1 on a course he won a major on and if you compare Ernie at 11/1 to Furyk at 16/1 then I guess he is value.

Might play him for 1.5 pts but will wait till tomorrow to decide.

I heard that one of my longshot picks for this week Olin Browne just shot 59 in US Open qualifying after looking to bag it after round 1. Lets hope he takes this form into the Booz Allen. I got on at 249/1 with betfair.

I think it might be a good week to shop for a price- will be interesting to see if Mickelson can find some form.

I like Singh if he draws into the field.

I bet beer money on Rich Beem at 401/1 at golfinggods.com He has missed his last 8 cuts I think, but if he gets hot he may hang in there.

Good luck guys.

LOL, now there is like a 10 player tie for the lead. Exagerrating a little but very bunched. Still think Ernie pulls it out

I have Sergio and Furyk hanging in. My longshot of Van Pelt (-2) doesn't have a chance, but he did make the cut...LOL.

Good luck to all.

Glad I took it easy as I didn't fancy Surge and he is lapping the field.

Just grabbed Donald at 3, just in case

Already have big positions in Sergio, Els and Scott. Sergio is easily the biggest pay day for me.

buckeye, you seeing this Sabbatini stuff?

YUP
I LOATHE SLOW PLAY, so I reserve judgment on it as in some ways I'd like to see others take a bigger stand against it. But he probably took it too far! Must admit I've broken away from slow players myself but it is different on tour!

Azinger and Faldo ABSOLUTELY SUCK AS ANNOUNCERS. I'd fire them both as they are fighting each other and adding ZERO to the broadcast - rather trun the sound off!
